Always a great place to shop but be very wary of their consignment policies. There is no transparency - they assign the price with no input from you and then take 50%. If you select you want a check rather than a store credit you then have to email them separately that you want a check - or they just keep your money I sent my first email either late April or early May and just got paid the end of July after sending a second email and making several phone calls.Update: I was very pleased that my review had a very quick response and an apology for the length of time it took to receive my payment. Their staff went above and beyond to make things right and supplied me with all the documentation I had requested. I was told they would be making some changes in how consignments are handled to prevent such problems going forward.

Took my stepdaughter there to get some boots, a helmet, and a pair of gloves. The lady working there was very kind and very good with kids. She knew what we were looking for and didn't try to upset us on anything. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Last few times they didn't have what I wanted or it was overpriced. Also had issues with a purchase there.

The employees here are the nicest people. One lady even took the shirt off the mannequin to get me the size we needed! I went in for a shirt to match my saddle pad, but we left with a matching saddle pad, ear bonnet, shirt, hair net, riding leggings, and stall guard. It all together cost about $50 more than I was budgeting for the 1 shirt I was planning to buy. I love this place!!!

On March 18, 2023 mid-afternoon, I drove for 45 minutes to consign a few saddles (2 dressage and 1 endurance) at Maryland Saddlery in Crofton. When I arrived, even though there were no customers in the store, I was told that they would deal with me on the front porch. It was a cold and windy day so I had to go back to my car and get my winter coat. The young girl employee with a snobby aire came out to evaluate my tack. She pointed to my endurance saddle and informed me that they do not accept "western." Then, despite the fact that Maryland Saddlery is currently listing a Smith Worthington dressage saddle, she looked over my Smith Worthington dressage saddle (in "like new" condition) and said something to the effect of, "Smith Worthington is essentially a 'no-name' saddle and we do not take 'no-name' saddles." She then suggested putting the saddle on a donation pile for items not good enough for them to sell. She did say that they would take the Anky dressage but at that point I was not seeing this in a positive light. So I took all three saddles back home. This was a very insulting interaction and a total waste of valuable weekend time.
