Overall: Food and ambiance are ok, but not great. The place is small and could be better with some investment. Service was very good.

Wow a authentic pull noodle place that is local to here and not have to drive to Rockville or Virginia. This small cozy place serves great fresh handmade noodles which you can customize noodle sizes to your preference. The noodles have a nice springy and chewyness to them. I got the regular sized noodles and they were fantastic. Went really well in the beef broth. The tea egg was really good as well.If you are a fan of Asian noodles then I would give this place a try.I noticed they have cold noodles as well. I think I will try that next time in the summer.

Zero stars. Not a single vegetarian option, unless you are ok just sitting there eating cucumbers while everyone else has their dinner.

Delicious noodles, love that you can choose the type of noodles and their size. Sometimes you can get a live play of someone playing the piano.

After The Missus (Bless 'er) brought home soup and noodles twice from Chopin, we thought it high time to make a visit recently- and am I ever glad we did!My curiosity as to why 'Chopin,' a polish composer of the 19th century, would be the name of a noodle house was only deepened when we entered into the spotlessly clean establishment and were greeted by a baby grand piano taking up a solid third of the floor space. Someone has a commitment to the arts that outweigh their desire to make money from having tables occupy that space. Intriguing...The counter-server was welcoming and polite, taking our order and answering our questions. The Missus (Bless 'er) picked out a can of Coke, while I choose (to the surprise of the server) a can of Chinese Herbal Tea beverage (very sweet). The room is spartan, but well appointed with musical motif art and violins (!) adorning one wall. The food was outstanding:We ordered the 'Oil Spill' noodles, and I can not recommend them highly enough. The sauce was spicy and hot, but the texture of the noodles and their flavor, expressed in every bite, made this dish and absolute MUST HAVE.We countered the heat with a chilled cucumber salad. Crunchy and slightly tart, finished with a sesame oil dressing. For something more toothsome, I also ordered the 'Mutton Chops' appetizer, which could easily be served as a main course. The meat had the tender texture that only comes from lengthy braising. It had some raw garlic (strangely sweet) and a lively spice mixture to dip the meat into.Tucked away in a small strip mall anchored by a Great Wall grocery store in Catonsville, there is tons of parking and is wheelchair accessible.Chopin is well worth the drive. It is our intent on returning to try everything on the menu. Seriously...

Interesting piano performance from time to time by the owner and waitress. Noodle soup tastes great.

All of the photos and videos were taken in May 2023. I forgot to post this when we first visited, so things may have changed since our last visit. My sister and I stumbled upon this restaurant while stopping by GW Market. We were hungry at the moment and decided to try this new restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. This was our very first time trying Chinese hand-pulled noodles, and I think they nailed it. We tried A2, the Traditional beef noodle soup, A4, the Crispy fish noodle soup, B2, the Oil-spilled noodles, and lastly, B3, the Jajang noodles. We loved the clean broth and the texture of the noodles. The owner was incredibly nice, and he even played some music for us on the piano, which was amazing. I especially appreciated that he played one of my favorite songs, 'River Flows in You' by Yiruma. I would definitely come back.

From a foodie who has lived in Northwestern China for a year, the pulled noodle here is very acceptable as an authentic Chinese noodle house. Will definitely go again

Wow, really good stuff here. One of the Chinese restaurants you have to try around here. The flavors are from the northwestern part of China. The food is delicious, spicy and fragrant. They have a variety of noodles you can choose from for the noodle soups, which is great. Liang pi here is thick and bouncy and refreshing. Noodle soups had a light but still flavorful broth. The dry noodles with hot oil had such a nice aroma. All the food we tried was great! There aren't many restaurants near Catonsville and Ellicott City that serve this kind of food. Pepper House and a restaurant in College Park come to mind for flavors of this kind of profile (and those places are awesome too).

I ordered the traditional Lanzhou noodle and it’s soup tastes still OK but the noodle is not well. As a person has eaten the real traditional beef noodle in Lanzhou, I have to admit the quality of noodle in the store is much less than the real in Lanzhou. The noodle is apparently not manual made without enough

I used to work across the street from a pulled noodle shop and ate there at least 3 times a week. That was 10 years ago. When I tell you I almost cried eating here, it is not an exaggeration. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, portion sizes generous, and staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Also, the noodles! Hand pulling noodles is a SKILL and these were fantastic with excellent texture and flavor. My husband and I each ordered our own traditional soup with regular noodles, and we shared a cucumber and a cold sliced beef. This was way too much food for two people but it was amazing so we have no regrets.I absolutely recommend this restaurant and will undoubtedly return frequently.

After visiting many noodle restaurants in the DMV area this is one of our favorite. Will be returning again. The Scallion Oil Noodles are incredible.

Noodles and soup were good but I didn’t like the proteins. The “crispy” fish was a very weird texture. It wasn’t seasoned and fried—the fish was really chewy so it may have been over cooked. The beef was also not flavorful at all.
