Everyone has been professional, pleasant to both my uncle and other family members. The agency has kept in touch at all times even after office hours and the care givers called to check on my uncle when he was hospitalized recently.

Worst experience ever. I paid for their services to pick me up on two dates, and the company left me stranded not once but twice! My experience caused me never to use them again, and I used them for other services a few years ago.Timeline:- I was to be picked up at 7:30 am on 27 Oct 2022 to go to the surgery center. Pickup at recovery home on 1 Nov 2022 to go back home.- 25 Oct, money came out of the account for service.- 27 Oct (surgery day), I received a phone call from an employee at 7:08 am (was to be picked up at 7:30 am) stating the person assigned to be my ride bailed and would not be coming. I then had to find an Uber and pay to get to my surgery center (late).- 27 Oct, I sent an email to another employee, “D,” who I had been emailing, explaining my disappointment in the unprofessionalism of the employee who was to pick me up. "D" has written reviews on here as well. Bailing on someone on surgery day is terrible and inexcusable, especially since it takes time to get to me from their location. The employee never left and seemingly tried to sabotage my surgery. "D" apologized and asked if they could still pick me up on the 1st. She said she would “personally work on it” to see it through.- 31 Oct, while I was still in pain and recovering, something told me to call the company. I contacted them to verify I had a ride, and yet again, there were issues. Typical. Apparently, the person who was to get me only had liability insurance. This was totally unacceptable. At the end of the day, they said they didn’t have anyone for me. I couldn’t hire an Uber for this (due to my surgery), so I had to pay extra to hire a medical transport company at the last minute to take me home. This never should have happened and was not only disheartening but horrible. To leave a recovering patient without the transportation they paid for was despicable and a testament to their overall unprofessionalism. I don’t wish for this to happen to everyone.Nothing that was told to me transpired, and I have all the email correspondence as proof. I was given the run around about my refund too. I was eventually told that the “check was in the mail.” After hearing that, I filed with my bank to get my refund. Magically, weeks later, the recovery home manager called me and said that a check was sent to them for me. Right at Home didn’t even send the check to the right place! I had the business shred it. Now I feel there are serious privacy issues because they couldn’t even send my check to the correct location. There was no reason to mix up those addresses. Overall, this was hands down the worst experience I’ve had with a service I paid for. I was abandoned in my time of need, and I don’t wish that to happen to anyone.

It has been a great pleasure to work with Right at Home Southern MD as the Administrator/COO since July 2014. Everyday, our mission is to "Improve the lives of those we serve" and that includes clients, caregivers and community referral sources in Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert Counties.

The cost of care is reasonable, family oriented, flexible based on the needs for your loved one. To provide that peace of mind is priceless. Fantastic! Right At Home Leadership and RN are knowledgeable with experience in the medical field. An employer that truly appreciates each employee!!

Now that our mom has passed I promised my sisters I would write a review about the experience we had with Right at Home. It took us almost two months to switch to another provider called Visiting Angels and in that short amount of time with Right at Home our Mom's pain meds went missing twice and she also fell twice while they were supposed to be right next to her. They often just don't show up without a phone call. We called the office in Waldorf and a girl told us that the owner lives somewhere else and does not stand up for his companies performance, so some lady named Melodie never called my sister back until AFTER we dropped them. She tried to get an explanation from someone other than the person answering the phones at the office and no one would communicate. It was our Mom, so it was very important and the only reason we felt we should write a review. USE ANOTHER COMPANY.

Right at Home delivers the highest quality staff that meets my mom's needs 3x/week. We get a lot of comfort knowing that they handle all the staffing and training. They use an app that provides our care expectations to assigned staff and any temporary substitutes. Everyone we met is friendly and responsive. The billing is reasonable and automatic. I give them my highest recommendation.

You can tell a lot about an organization's culture by how it treats its staff. RAH Southern MD is the best organization to work for - the people are friendly, warm and welcoming!
