For starters many people are leaving reviews for the beach/park. This is for the marina and is of private ownership. The marina was a nice place under the previous ownership. Now it is disrepair, seriously in need of dredging and as of recent fuel is no longer available. The slip fee is outrageous and chances are you may incur prop damage even during high tide. It seems as though the owners are just siphoning as much money off this marina as long as they can, while they can. Go somewhere else... don't waste your time or money.

Bad management, no power, no cleats. Bad attitude. Especially when coming in to to take refuge during a storm.

Lots of empty slips and and docks are in very rough shape. Cottage rentals look nice but beach is under repair so not very appealing.

I was there for nearly 15 years. The new owners made so many promises like locked gates and improvements. They had some grand vision of turning a blue collar fishing marina into a Vineyard Vines resort. There is less than a foot of water in the channel at low tide, and it's been an issue for years. The boat ramp has a giant hole on one side that cracked my trailer hub. When I notified them, they made zero effort to help with the repair cost. There's no onsite mechanic, and the marina store is basically never open and they didn't have any bait. You have to call someone to come and unlock the pumps, which is difficult with poor cell service.Oh yeah, despite not doing the upkeep for the important things, rates kept going up. It just wasn't worth it anymore.

Nice public beach ⛱ to go with your family to relax on the sand. They charge a decent entrance fee for person. Showers and clean restrooms. Recommend it.

Nice experience, could be cleaner, could be worse. Grills and picnic tables to hang and eat are wonderful, facilities -awesome that they even have so many and NOT portapotties (not all are opened) and they have a concession stand!!!

Plenty of parking and slips, but the boat ramp is too steep and caught the front supports on my trailer when pulling it. I had to put my jack down to get the clearance needed to not break my front supports, which resulted in a broken jack wheel. There are lots of other drag marks in the concrete from other people that had a similar experience. Also, they had turned off their ice machines already, making us have to run back into town before setting out.

$15 to launch a private kayak is a bit steep but it's worth it to get to the shark teeth nearby. $5- $10 would be more reasonable for a kayak launch, especially since theres no place for kayakers to launch and I have to put in at the boat ramp. Rod and Reel marina in Chesapeak Beach is more kayak friendly with their special kayak launch. Just a suggestion ?
