I will never ever go back. Love Donna and Anne Marie. Too bad they aren't Vets. They would do better. I will leave you with this, have your animals blood pressure checked. High blood pressure can cause blindness. My Cat is now on blood pressure medicine but unfortunately it's too late to get her sight back. I found the place by Chesapeake College that was excellent . Also, be ware of their method of euthanasia. My 2 of 3 animals did not fair well at their last moments. In response to what you wrote. I did do the blood work and you lost it that's when I decided enough was enough. There is no excuse for it. I was not going put my 20 year old cat through another blood draw and chance you loosing again. Had no problems getting done elsewhere. She doing great now. Will be 21 yrs old in May.

I just wish I took her for a second opinion to another vet. She had been tested and treated for an illness where the medication was constantly increased only after mandatory testing with no visible improvement, wound up in the ER for something completely different that they didn’t understand how it could have been “missed”. And now she is gone.

I have a chocolate lab female who is very protective and weird about people and isn’t a huge fan of men. She did fabulous today! Coming from her old vet who said she is very aggressive and wanted her drugged before every visit because they were scared of her(they never let me back in the room with her during visits so what do you expect?) to here where the tech & doctor went slow with her and everyone was so friendly ! I am very happy I switched and I fully trust them to make angel feel as welcomed and safe as possible. Prices aren’t too bad also. I will recommend them to anybody ! Definitely GO HERE & NOT Bay Area Vet they rush and don’t take the time to make your dog feel comfortable and happy in a not so fun place for them.

I have a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog who is very very scared of the vet and becomes extremely nervous and tries to nip when we’re there. We are fairly new to Kent Island (only 2 years here) so this is only her second time here. The first time around made it very apparent that she will need medicated assisted treatment to remain calm for future vet visits.I contacted them last week and asked for a RX for her upcoming vet visit, it was ready same day.We went in for our vet visit this morning at 8am - they allowed me to come in and go straight to the exam room. Dr. Davis and her assistant were absolutely wonderful. They sweet talked my girl, they let her know it was okay, they made her more comfortable. They were accommodating for my nervous girl. I felt such a relief when I left there. Thank you so much. So very much.We will be back on Thursday with our other pup!

I wouldn't recommend bringing your guinea pig here. I came in with my piggy because he had a tumor that was growing rapidly (otherwise was completely healthy) and they came in for a total of 5 minutes and told me that it was quote "growing around the bone and nothing they could do." Keep in mind they only felt the tumor with their hands, they took no Xrays. I asked about next steps and they said to just wait it out and once it starts bleeding or bothering him to call and have him put down. It starts to grow and bleed so I get into contact with a different vet whom was actually knowledgeable about guinea pigs. Turns out its not growing around the bone at all and have surgery to get it removed next week. Crazy what an Xray can do. He's also been prescribed 2 different pain medications considering he has an aggressive tumor on his leg. No mention of pain meds at this place. Seemed like they could care less about my pet. Im so thankful I found some real help for my Theo, this place really let him down.

We have a small dog that is allergic to life. We're up here about once a month. Very friendly staff and vets. We've been coming here for the past 7 years and have not had a bad experience. Very kind when we lost one of our dogs the day before Xmas several years ago. Staff made sure we were ok and sent us several paw prints of our dear fur baby. Unexpected and much appreciated.

Last night my dog Mason who has been a patient at CVH for almost 3 year got very ill. I call told them his symptoms and they told me to being him in right away. As soon as we got in the door they took him in the back to look at him. They gave him excellent care. Today he is much better! Thank you Dr. Cotrone,Dr. Busick and staff for always being so kind and taking care of my baby as your own.

I have been going to Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital for 15 + years and have always had great experiences. My dogs were seen in May and had all shots and exam with healthy resutls. Our dogs were sick in June and they tended to them. Today I called for boarding and was told they were totally booked up for September and October.(we have been bording our dogs there for years). I was then called back by Donna who let me know that our dogs could be boarded but first they needed a flu shot which is a series of two shots each and a fecal drop off before boarding could happen. I was told there would be an exam fee to be included. I questioned since our dogs were previously examined in May and June. I was asking to have that fee waived and felt it was unfair since they were examined and it was just for a shot. Donna said she understood but I would need to talk with Cheryl Murphy or Dr.Busick. I said I didn't think I should pay for the exam but was more than willing to pay for the shots. I was transferred to Cheryl and she stated the facts of fees in a not so pleasant way. I made the 1st appointment and she then transferred me to Donna again and we set up all boarding dates and appointments for both of our dogs. I again told Donna I would like to speak with Dr. Busick and would do so on the appointment that was set. I have never not paid for any service given to our dogs on the visit day. At that point the phone was ripped away from Donna and Cheryl was yelling and said forget it, your dog records will be mailed to me and hung up on me. I called back and asked Cherly if we could start this over again in a nice way and that I would pay in advance and was told no and she hung up on me again. I called back and was told no one was allowed to talk with me and again was hung up on. My husband called and spoke with Cheryl. He asked if he could do all the communication and appointments for our dogs and he was told no because there was no guarantee that they wouldn't have to communicate with me and they were not risking that. I don't know of any office manager who treats anyone that way. I am a manager and never treated anyone that way nor would I have anyone like that on my team. Cheryl is very disrespectful and not professional at all and her employees are afraid of her, The only thing that she hurt is our dogs. I did also ask to speak with Dr. Busick and Cheryl told me NO. I wish Dr. Busick good luck with an office manager like that.

We've been a client of Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. We can say emphatically that we would not go anywhere else with our small family. They are top notch in our book.

Chesapeake vet. Got us in quick for and emergency situations they safe was professional and handled my family and I with care and emotional support while they helped us diagnose and treat my dog. While there are a little more expensive then I though they were the cheapest clean and professional location I have been able to find on the Eastern shore.

They were so amazing with our dear beagle. She hurt her back playing in the snow and they diagnosed her and gave her meds to take without charging us an arm and leg. Now our Ethel is on the mend. Can't thank them enough.
