Went today to pick up a prescription for a family member and initially thought I was lucky because there was no line. Then I was told that they would not be able to fill the prescription because their system was down and they did not know when it would be back up. This medication is extremely important for his condition and I'm pretty shocked that a pharmacy has no back up plan.

I bought the half and half blend lettuce today in produce. Best buy date is July 30. Today is Aug 1. Not one package had a date later then July 30. need to do a better job of keeping up with theie produce. stuff doesn't last very long as it is.

This Safeway is huge, personally I prefer a smaller store however the staff is very friendly and helpful. They don't really carry anything special there's not a lot of ethnic food the deli is OK but even their salads are brought in like they don't make their own coleslaw or potato salad and I tend to stay away from things like that. The Starbucks is tiny and has inadequate space, there's no place to sit there's no bar to fix your coffee up at its jammed into the corner and I can hardly get through the aisle, really really needs to be improved. Vegetable department is exceptional for a big chain store I think they carry some vegetables that you just don't see everywhere. The floral department is also very nice and the Butcher department has a broad selection of meats of what I would take for the very high-quality. When I moved here I didn't expect to be able to find ground veal and meet as nice as they have. Most of the people there are very friendly and very helpful. It's my go to grocery store in Chester.

The pharmacist there (Andrea) is awesome - will take the time to discuss issues with you and get back to you if necessary. She remembered me from 4 months ago. She also helped my husband with an issue and always has a friendly smile for him when he’s there. Wonderful customer service as opposed to some other local pharmacies.

Great pharmacy staff, great knowledge and nice service, they are awesome with flu shots, when your ready, an hour after they open, an hour before the pharmacy closes. Free with insurance.

A mixed bag from Safeway Pharmacy. I dropped off a prescription, and they didn't have the 60 tablets on hand of a common medication. They did have a dose to help me overnight, and guaranteed 3pm the next day.I returned at 4:30pm next day. Still not ready, nope, nada."You can just walk around the store for 10 minutes." During covid, while disabled, at high risk as immunocompromised patient, just stroll around, eh? Waited in car, after walking from rear of store, the pharmacy location, to front exit. The script was ready in 5 minutes, not 10, so points there. They applied my goodrx discount.The checkout process:Waited in line for 15 minutes with a single person at checkout in front of me, and at least 5 people behind me. Difficult to line up distanced as the meat locker is right next to pharmacy and only enough space for 3 people to line up 6 feet apart. Not ideal pandemic protocol.The staff were new, from another store location, rotating in while staffing is struggling to fill pharmacy positions. The tech at checkout needed help to bring up my single rx, process questions related to risks of medication, and process my payment. So 2 people checked me out, taking a person away from the task they could have been doing, ie. helping one of the people behind me, fill scripts, answer phone, etc.My script was accurate and complete, with neat label and transcribed instructions from my doctor correctly. So three stars total.

Stopped by for some Fall assortment flowers for my mother seeing her birthday had passed. Was greeted by a wonderful woman named Kelsey. I thanked her for her help and told her that this was one of the most well kept floral departments I have seen. Mom loved the assortment and was shocked they were local. She thought they came from a expensive florist. Gotta give props!

I want to recognize Glen from produce in the Chester MD store. He was super helpful in assisting me with a balloon order for my daughters party when he discovered there was no one on shift there. He went above and beyond to make sure I was helped.

I Never shopping here again! Ever. I will go out of my way for another store! I did a drive up and go order. One, mostly for the convenience but two, this COVID stuff going on I'm trying to limit being around a lot of people. My order time was 5pm, I called at 4:47 because I was right across the street. The guy said they just started my Order it will be ready in about 15 minutes. Okay, I'll wait... 5:05 he comes out says it will be 30 minutes. Okay, I'll now go home and come

Very pleased with their service. Left another pharmacy because they were taking too long (over a week) to fill a prescription. Safeway did it right away. Safeway's staff also took the time to explain how I could get different medications cheaper by using coupons?cheaper than my insurance).
