My watch stopped working after Mr. Boyer put a new battery in it and I was walking out the door. The back was unbelievably gouged and scratched. He refused to take responsibility for the breakage and I had already paid him.I had to go and get a new watch. He also had a very demeaning and angry attitude. If I could give 0 stars I would.

We have used Boyer's to repair the prongs holding my diamond in my wedding ring and to repair and correct the timing for my husbands Rolex. They did a great job. We're happy that we have a reliable jeweler nearby.

I went to have batteries replaced in two watches. The owner, who had the disposition of an untipped waiter, managed to put the backs on crookedly. I could go back, I suppose, to have this corrected, but, given his attitude, once was enough

I brought in two watches for batteries. The owner was unfriendly and had the disposition of an untipped waiter. I found that he had put the backs on crooked. I suppose that l could go back to get this corrected, but once was enough. Sloppy workmanship on a fairly simple task.

Boyer's! Where you at!? I have been trying to reach this place since March when the pandemic exploded. Nobody returned voice-mails and now their box is full! ? I've got stuff to pick up... what to do!?

As good at it gets! My parents introduced me to Boyer's Jewelers years ago when they gave my wife a beautiful necklace that was custom designed by these folks. If you want an amazing custom-made piece from people with integrity and skill, you found the right place. Since my introduction to Boyer's, I learned that my parents had been purchasing and entrusting repairs to them for decades. I've since relied on Boyer's for all of our work, and have found them to be honest, talented, kindhearted and just all-around good folks. I recommend them at every opportunity! Sincerely, Tom McGlinn - Rock Hall, MD; Nokesville, Va

I was away from home in Chestertown MD and noticed my $500 Tissot Swiss made watch had stopped. I needed a battery so I stopped in Boyer's jewelry store. Right off the bat I noticed that the store did not match the neighborhood.....it seemed more like an estate or used jewelry store...but i thought, I only want a watch battery. So I walked up to the counter, showed a woman the Tissot watch and asked if the could change the battery. She said sure and took the watch. After a few minutes where she looked liked she was having a problem, she asked the man behind the counter for help. At this point, I asked if there was a problem and the man replied no. He then went on to tell me how the Swiss didn't design the watch case correctly and that a special press was needed to reinstall the case. Then he handed me back the watch. I looked at the back of the case and it was scratched and gouged out. I couldn't believe what I was looking at. My beautiful watch case gouged and scarred by these incompetent "jewelers ". Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague that it is.

I took an engagement/wedding ring set to Boyers to get a quote to resize and change a setting. A month and a half later I received a call that my engagement ring had been resized and that I could come pick it up. I explained that I had not approved a resize and that it was a 2 ring set and was told that Mr. Boyer did not think the cost of the resize to be too high and approved it without my okay. Further no one knew anything about my other ring. Three weeks later I called back and again explained that I only wanted the ring resized if I got the setting changed and was told that they had both rings, one had been resized, one had not, and that they felt the cost of the setting change was excessive and did not have it done. While I was not charged for the resize, I did not want it done either. I now have a ring set that does not match in size and cannot be worn by the original owner, or the future daughter-in-law it was going to be given to, if the setting was changed. The reason I am most upset however, is that rather than apologize I was made to feel as if I were the one in the wrong and both people that I spoke to acted as though they did nothing wrong in making a decision to get work done when I only wanted an estimate. I would highly recommend going anywhere else for jewelry repair!
