Went to visit Tallulah Bankhead’s grave but ended up exploring for an hour. There were so many unique headstones (one was dated back to 1729)! It was so peaceful that I’ve been dying to go back just to walk around. What a cool experience.

Just a quick stop to check out the historical site. Was ok , grounds could have better upkeep. but that also take funding and / or volunteers.

Amazing historical church and cemetary. So well kept and located in such a beautiful Maryland location. One of the oldest (1692; 1711) continuous Episcopal parishes and churches dating from early colonial times. A must-see for MD history lovers and taphophiles.

If you are traveling through the area looking for historical buildings and places near Chestertown (eastern shore of Maryland) this is truly a MUST Visit. One of the first churches in the US dating back to the 1600's, this church building has been in existence since the early 1700's. The members have done an excellent job of maintaining the building and cemeteries. A simple walk through the head stones brings local American history to the visitor. This is not just a drive by. Take the time to stop and visit.

What a beautiful old church, cemetery and grounds. We were there for a family burial. Priest was kind and welcoming. Grounds are well kept and maintained. Church was tastefully decorated. We were sad to see an old tree from the American Revolution had been cut down.
