I was a customer for many years, but I had to switch. Chestertown location is short staffed (which didn't bother me..a lot of places are) but I never knew if I had to go through drive-thru or walk in. The last time I went it I was told my prescription was out of stock, they didn't know when it would be in and had been having trouble getting it in for months. I picked this particular prescription up every month and was never told of an issue. I called another pharmacy and asked if they had issues and they said no, so I switched everything over. The employees that are there though are helpful and nice. Just too much confusion with picking up.

This location is chronically understaffed and overwhelmed. Pharm Tech, Buster, is ALWAYS kind, patient and troubleshoots my monthly medication battle. It holds up the line, it requires extra processing…but he always figures it out. I legitimately waited in a drive thru line for 20 minutes, crossing my fingers that I’d see him on the other side of the glass, after they were unable to resolve the issue yesterday.

Customer service in store I'd say relatively helpful however when needing assistance over the phone the wait time to get a hold of an employee is unbelievably long...30 minutes!?

Just rec'd my message from Walgreen's the my Colonoscopy Prep is ready to pick up.....about 72 hours later than I needed it. That cost me a day at least...have to now 'try again" at getting a good read, man. They have a good beauty department and photo shop, but not pharmacy. May explain all of the cars from WVa and PA out in the parking lot....part of the 'opiod epidemic"?...perhaps. Rock Hall is way better!

Pharmacy is a dysfunctional mess and has been for some time. Plenty of clerks running around back there, but terrible service at the counter. Mostly they don't care about their customers or giving any kind of service without a negative attitude. And no satisfaction talking to a 'supervisor'. The person claimed to be the pharmacist but was most unhelpful (and appeared to be a child in manner and appearance). There were house flys in the pharmacy waiting area. Where did THEY come from? Avoid giving them business if you can. There is one independent pharmacy in Chestertown and another Walgreens in Rockhall.

Scheduled a flu shot on the web site as I was advised to when I had stopped in. Arrived 15 minutes earlier with forms completed as I was instructed. Waited over an hour after my appointment in a filthy fly infested waiting area. Just grand!

First vaccine shot at M and T stadium in Baltimore, 2 hours start to finish and they processed thousands of people. Second shot at the Walgreens in Chestertown, 2 hours 45 minutes to process about 20 people. It was a complete cluster. Warning everyone I know not to go there!!!! Total mess.

I have never been to a more functional, friendly pharmacy. The manager and staff are second to none!!

My fiancé has an issue EVERY SINGLE time she goes to pick up prescriptions at the Chestertown Walgreens. She literally just came home from there and noticed they gave her the WRONG prescription! Even the Centreville one is just as bad. I told her for awhile now to go to Chester River Pharmacy. That’s where I started going since I moved here from Caroline County.

Be sure to allow extra time if you shop at this Walgreen's. Ever since it became one of only two pharmacies for the entire Chestertown area the service has become unbearably bad. The employees do not understand their own company's policies, and the employees are not interested in solving problems. Yesterday I had two problems with this Walgreen's. I went to pick up a prescription. There were plenty of employees behind the counter, but only one person was being helped at a time and the employee serving that line kept mysteriously disappearing. When it finally was my turn the employee serving me said that there was a problem with my GOODRX coupon. I said at least three times that there was a toll-free number on the coupon to call for problems. The employee refused to call the number and charged me $2 more than the coupon price. I was too sick and in too much pain to argue. I later called GOOD RX, and they fixed the problem. This store is a 40-mile round trip for me, so I don't know when I'll be able to get my refund. The second problem arose when I tried to exchange a container of THERAWORX foam. When I had purchased it on Sunday the clerk dropped it as she was putting it in the bag. She said not to worry it would be fine. The thing leaked all over the place. I took another one (everything the same as the original) to the counter with the one to exchange. I had bought the original one with a coupon and paid $16.49 for it. The clerk charged me the full price of the product -- $20.95 and would not listen to reason or solve the problem. I understand that if I were asking for a REFUND the amount would be $16.49. But I was doing a 100 percent exchange -- you would think there would be no difference in price. I took the defective can and left. I later called Walgreen's Customer Service. The woman who helped me was clearly appalled -- she could not understand why the problem wasn't solved at the store. She thought it was very clear that an exact exchange is made at the price paid for the original. She said that is Walgreen's policy, and the employee (who passed herself off as a Manager) clearly was wrong. The Customer Service agent put 20,000 points ($20) on my Walgreen's card. The Walgreen's in Middletown, Delaware is about equidistant for me. They are bright and friendly there. Guess where I am going to go from now on?!?!?!

I m in Chestertown this weekend and this is not my regular Walgreens I go to. This is an upscale Walgreens. So here's the deal I love this Walgreens because it has a beauty consultant . Where I live the Walgreens do not have beauty consultants. So you spend $25.00 in the beauty department you get this awesome FREE beauty enthusiast bag. The bottom line is if your Walgreens DOESN'T have a beauty consultant your not getting free sample bags. Onto the the beauty consultant in Chestertown she was a little snarky , however, I put up with this snark, because I wanted the sample bag! She made mention to "coupon fraud" and how she attended classes on this when she saw I was going to be using coupons in the store. (ok am I a criminal now?). I completely understand If I don't satisfy the terms and conditions for redemption of a coupon, so be it , and I'm fine with it. She personally had come over while I was shopping and said, " if your using coupons they may not work." What is this tit for tat? I'm not understanding your point with your deal with me using coupons? Earlier that day I was in the pharmacy and this dept rocks! I had to get compression stockings for a client and they go out of their way to help. Chester River pharmacy closes at 2 p.m. on Saturday and is closed on Sunday, with Heron Point being so close, I don't understand Chester Rivers hours, so I give my business to this Walgreens, on Washington Ave, and from the looks of it so does Heron Point. 1 star removal secondary to "coupon fraud" mention and I'm still confused. I am not a criminal perhaps they ran a special on "coupon fraud" at this store and the beauty consultant is taking it out on me. Your implication that I would commit fraud was insulting. FWIW

The Pharmacy provides horrible customer service. There is absolutely not one once of caring or empathy what so ever. The sad part is, the customer,ie: patient, is caught in the middle of the complete incompetence. I am absolutely disgusted.

The Chestertown store is now closed for two days and the central operator connected me twice and kept me on hold for an entire hour to be disconnected. Should have The courtesy to refer you to another pharmacy and provide up to date information
