The doctor and staff are very professional and very kind! 5 stars plus! The information system, however, is terrible. I spent an hour doing the online registration only to find the info did not make it to the chart more than 24 hours later. The orders had outdated insurance info and , if I had not caught the order mistake a few hours later, the bill would have gone to the wrong insurance company creating a mess. While the doctor and staff are great, these kinds of IT errors are inexcusable. If you have an alternative, I’d pick a practice that doesn’t waste patients’ time with insurance, billing and order errors.

Love the detailed instructions provided leading up to the procedure. Followed the instruction to the tee and everything came out well. I knew what to bring and what not to bring. The staff took excellent care of me, and the doctor explained everything before and after the procedure. Excellent job by all!

Dr. Ali is thoughtful and really studies the test results. I also really like the staff who are pleasant and work hard to keep the appointments running smoothly. I especially like that you can have your blood drawn in the office so that I didn’t have to make another appointment.

Very friendly, caring and very professional staff, which made me feel good to be there. They all are well trained and have good procedures to help make your visit go smooth. I liked the doctor. He looks directly at you and speaks clearly. The offices are clean and airy. I wish they could take care of all of my health issues not just my colon.

Great staff - admin and clinical. Dr. Kirk was professional but also very personable - made an anxious visit less intimidating and less stressful. Parking in building is very helpful along with reasonable rates.

I had a great experience at Capital Digestive care. I felt very confident with Dr. Cohen. She explained every step of the process, covered all potential problems, and was always available to hear my concerns. I feel that she genuinely cares about me and does her best to help me reach my goal of complete healing. I am truly blessed to have her as my doctor.I am also very grateful to the administrative and medical staff who were so kind and supportive. I know it’s a long and tedious journey and i am glad to have such wonderful and dedicated people at my side.Thank you so much ?

The offices are updated and nice. It wasn’t hard to make an appointment within about a week. All of the staff was welcoming and attentive. I didn’t have to wait long to see the doctor and also didn’t feel rushed when meeting with her. Dr. Howard made a point to squeeze me in her full schedule the next week so that I could have my procedure and results quickly.

Everyone was very nice and helpful at the front desk and Dr. Ali and his nurse could not have offered better health care—taking their time to answer my questions and give me detailed information on my condition and what an upcoming colonoscopy might reveal. The only glitch was that the office’s system of registering patients partly online and partly in office resulted in some confusion about my information—including sending my prescription not to the pharmacy covered by my insurance, which I gave to them, but to another pharmacy in a neighborhood miles away. I think a little more care with making sure they read what patients write on our intake forms (whether online or in person) would be a helpful improvement in this otherwise excellent and caring office and practice.

I can’t even express my gratitude to Dr. Umapathi, and her team, without getting emotional. I visited an urgent care two days prior and was misdiagnosed. I was feeling worse but couldn’t get an appointment for a specialist. When my mom called Capital Digestive they could hear me in the background and got me scheduled. As soon as I got inside, they saw me immediately and scheduled emergency surgery that evening. I was delirious but relieved. They made me feel safe & comfortable. The compassion, along with amazing skills, saved my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dr. Kirk and the nurses and anesthesiologist were caring as well as careful. They know it’s a nervy experience and they put you at ease with their professionalism, knowledge and bed-side manner. I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy. I was seen on time to the minute first by experienced nurses who prepped me, then immediately by the anesthesiologist and Dr. Kirk who made someone who does not like anesthesia or the process comfortable and confident. I was given a summary of findings upon waking. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kirk and Capital Digestive Care
