I had a very good experience at a first time appointment at Medstar Chevy Chase primary care. Dr. Pezeshki was wonderful and so was the staff. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Pezeshki. She was thorough and compassionate.

My experience is the staff at Medistar is always very nice. The reason for the 1-Star is the website where you schedule your appt. is very misleading. It is not an appt. just a time that you are supposed to arrive. We arrived early for our time which was 10:40 and had pre-completed the forms. There was one other patient in the waiting room when we arrived so it seemed things would move relatively quickly. 2 hours later the waiting room had 6 patients waiting including the original first patient. The screen which is supposed to tell you where you are in the queue was suspiciously turned off so I asked the check-in person how much longer and that we had another appointment we had to go to. They said we were next and should only be a few minutes. 45 minutes later our name was finally called. We finally left close to 3.5 hours after arriving. The issue is not the staff as they were pleasant. The issue is they were under-staffed and the MedStar system doesn’t adjust the number of time slots on their web-site based on their staffing, so you have no idea when you arrive if you are there 30 minutes or 3.5 hours. I feel good that we got off easy at 3.5 hours as when we left there were people in the waiting room who had been there well over 2 hours. Once again this is not a staff issue but a MedStar issue, so buyer beware and if you choose to wait and that wait is long remember it is hard on the staff as well. Hopefully MedStar figures it out.

Dr. Naing responded quickly to my Medstar Portal posting, and the meeting two days later was excellent, diagnosing the source of my concern, reassuring me, and initiating helpful next steps. The whole process, by her and her supportive and professional staff, was seamless.

I live nearly an hour away from this location but Dr. Paunovic is so well-recommended that I figured it was worth the travel time - and I was right. Honestly best experience I've had at a doctor's appointment, ever. She focused on my health, not on my weight, and took the time to get my full history. The nurse I saw first - I didn't get their name - was phenomenal as well and did an excellent job of putting me at ease. Also, in-house bloodwork is a huge convenience. I really can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Paunovic impresses me as a very attentive and caring doctor. She spent most of the time to know my medical status as the first visit with her new patient. She orders all that I would need to help me get better and prevent my physical ailment so I’m coming back.However, due to all that questioning, I didn’t get any answers to the few questions that I had bearly mentioned to her in the beginning! I wish that she had a message box that allows me to ask her those few questions.Thanks.
