Miller's offer repair and cleaning of furs by appt. There is paid parking available near by. The repairs are fairly priced and the turn around is approx 3-4 weeks. Mr. LB was a pleasure to work with.

I had read a number of reviews about Miller’s Furs, and was a bit skeptical given some of the lower star reviews, especially the young lady’s which involved an appraisal situation (similar to mine). However, I decided to press on given the number of sterling reviews they have also registered. Unfortunately, my first mind was correct.I called Miller’s today, asking whether they do appraisals of furs, as I explained that I had inherited several furs after my dear mother’s passing and was looking to secure them for insurance purposes, but because of their age we had no records of purchase/value. The employee who answered the phone then asked me how old they were, and I could barely get out “I know at least one is from the 90s,” before he rudely proclaimed, “Well they’re probably not even worth appraising.” Excuse me?? I was truly taken aback. Then before I could lay into him, he doubled down with, “What exactly do you need the appraisal for? Are you trying to sell the furs or what?” seemingly proving that he had barely been listening to the scenario I had laid out originally. I briefly explained again, let him know that my mother’s coats were still in beautiful condition and that I was definitely not interested in selling them but would be keeping and wearing them for myself. Instead of taking the opportunity to perhaps backtrack and apologize and try to get the customer relations back on track, his only response was “Well that will be $50 per coat for a formal appraisal.” It was truly one of the rudest and most unnecessarily contentious and insensitive interactions I have ever had with a sales representative. I was offended beyond words. Needless to say I promptly informed him that I would be taking my custom elsewhere. Little did he know that this was merely a testing ground, as I am also looking for a storage and servicing home for the furs, so not only has this employee caused Miller’s to miss out on the appraisal money, but also recurring business in the form of storage and cleaning fees. Do not waste your time with this establishment.Updated review 9/30:My estimation of Miller’s Furs has taken a complete 180 degree turn. It is not often in this day and age that legitimate customer complaint is met with a reformation and marked increase in the level of customer service, but Miller’s Furs is a rare example of just that. Some hours after the previous review, Mr. Jason Miller — the proprietor — called me, having gone to the trouble of retrieving my number from the store’s logs. He not only apologized profusely, at length, making clear that there was no excuse for the treatment I had received over the phone, but also offered to try to set things right by providing the appraisals I had originally called about gratis. I was very pleasantly surprised, and decided to give the store another chance. Upon arrival for the scheduled appraisals today, I was greeted warmly by the entire staff and ushered in and seen right away by Mr. Miller himself. Extremely knowledgeable about the world of fur, Mr. Miller expertly eyeballed and handled the furs, asked pertinent questions and explained his thoughts in easily digestible layman’s terms. Delightful conversation was had throughout, and he promptly produced the needed materials as we chatted together. He truly showed both kindness and respect, putting me almost instantly at ease. Furthermore, the employee who had previously addressed me also took the opportunity to sincerely apologize, in what I took as a heartfelt gesture. Overall, I can honestly say that I am very impressed with the about-face that was done and the level of service and respect I have been shown this second time around. I even decided to store a fur with them on the strength of this new performance, so will most definitely be back!

I wish to submit the following review for Miller's Furs. I am a retired professional with careers in classical music, speech-language pathology, and special education administration. I have been a customer of Miller's Furs for decades and have purchased a number of fur coats and fur hats which I have worn consistently throughout the winter months for years. I am allergic to wool, and so fur for its warmth and long-lasting elegance and beauty has been my best option. I wish to acknowledge the professionalism of all of the staff with whom I have interacted. I wish to especially commend Jason Miller for the outstanding service and long-term customer relationship established over the years. Mr. Miller has been accessible when I call with questions or concerns. He has considered my lifestyle and clothing needs when recommending fur coats and hats that I have purchased. I have been happy with all of my purchases. However, prior to establishing the relationship with Miller's Furs I purchased a full-length Mahagony Mink Sections coat. This coat was not the caliber of coats from Miller's Furs and remained unworn in my closet for thirty years. However, two years ago I decided to approach Jason Miller about the possibility of a fur restoration. The coat needed a lot of work, but the result of restoration was amazing. So, I recommend Miller's Furs not only for the selling of high- quality furs, but for remarkable restoration, restyling, and conditioning and storage services. I am a lifetime customer of Miller's Furs.

Took a vintage fur to repair a rip and was blown away about how amazing the customer service was. The associates were very attentive and identified the type of fur immediately (I had no clue what is was, lol). Not only was the pricing fair, but the turnaround time for repair was super quick *and* my item was delivered TO MY DOORSTEP once the repair was complete. They also offer cold storage (apparently recommended for furs) during spring and summer months.

Terrible service. I went in to have several items appraised (totally prepared to pay whatever that cost might be) and was almost instantly not taken seriously. I was 8 months pregnant so I had to use a shopping cart to bring my items in which may have thrown the owner/shop clerk off but I was still deserving of good service no matter how my appearance. He kept stating "We wouldn't buy this"...which was not my question on each item. I wanted to know what, if any, value they carried so I would know whether they could be passed on to my children. Pawn shops even tell you how much they think an item is worth and how much they will give you for it, but this guy seemed to refuse to want to give me straight numbers. Legitimate appraisers are respectable, not only to the person in front of them but also to the items being presented, whether it is worth $1 or $1 million dollars. Sentimentality carries value in and of itself. Respected appraisers know this so they would never tell a customer/client "your item is worthless" like the one I encountered in Miller's. Lastly, they gave me a cursory examination which is not an appraisal. To add insult to injury, the man closed by telling me not to go through with the appraisal "Don't spend all your money, these items aren't worth anything". All my money?? How would you know this is all of my money besides the fact that I had been prejudged on my cart and dressed-down attire (I had on a lumber jack coat and my fave pair of well-worn Uggs). I left feeling like I had completely wasted my time. Do not go here unless you scream wealth in your appearance and have no other options for appraisals.

The same courtesy should be afforded to all clients. Today, Nov 18th, I stopped by Millers Fir, in Bethesda, to pick up my Mink and Head Piece, when my items were bagged and boxed, I was not offered assistance to my car with my items as the other patrons I noticed were offered; however, I indicated/directed assistance with my items… I was disappointed!

Excellent furrier-great selection of furs and a really friendly staff. I took my whiskey mink stroller to them for a repair. They were efficient and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for repairs and if you are in the market for a new fur.

Have been there personally 3 times, and each time I am met with the amazing skillset, knowledge, and generosity of Miller's Furs! Very welcoming, always ready to answer any question you have, and very generous in their appraisals, experience, and consultation! I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who not only own furs, but to those who are new to the trend or even considering their first purchase of one. 5 Stars for sure!

I would like to personally thank Michael at Miller's Furs for taking the time and effort to help me with some questions that I had regarding several Vintage fur coats I've inherited. I spoke with some other retailers in the area and they seemed to have little or no interest to answer the same questions whereas Michael couldn't have been any more gracious and helpful! Being a realtor I know the value of excellent customer service and appreciate that there is someone still out there willing to take the time to address a potential customer's questions and concerns in a friendly and professional manner. In turn I highly suggest anyone looking to buy a fur coat to first go to Miller's!!!

I have been storing my mink coat with this business for years. This time I had it restyled because it hadn't gotten too long because I had shrank and had some weight loss. My coat was delivered to me on 12/16/21. To my astonishment the coat had been shortened too much in back and is not even all they way around. Owner refuses to admit the mistakes and claims he has never made a mistake. He tried tell me that looked shorter because it was on the hanger(BS). I will taking further action. Very unhappy customer
