I did the beauty lesson here with Marlow and had an amazing experience! She walked me through every step of the process as she was showing me how to do an everyday makeup routine. I feel much more confident doing my makeup now and I’m excited about all of the new products I have!

Looking at the reviews makes me sad but I can say Caron (one of the beauty advisor) was the reason I give it 5 stars. The person who initially helped me at first gave off a bad aurora and facial expression to the point I had to find someone else. She seemed lost and dreaded. I know you ask why still give it 5 stars. Because of Caron advice, energy, and patience will be the only reason I go back.

Years ago, this Sephora was one of the best locations in the DMV area. I loved to shop there and spent most of my paycheck before I had it planning on what I was going to buy! The brand offerings were numerous and often times exclusive to this location. If it was a new beauty product, you could find it there! The staff were well trained, very enthusiastic, and offered a great customer experience. However, post pandemic, it's gotten hard to be able to exlipse the current shopping experience. Now, the key ingredients-- the individualized shopping experience, coupled with the accessibility to engaged staff (without prodding), making customers feel special, being proactive in helping speed up the shopping process, routinely/consistently checking the stock on the floor to eliminate the need for the customer to alert the staff-- are missing from the shopping experience. What happened? Is it corporate and the decisions being made regarding this location's bottom line? Is it a decrease in customers? Is it staff reluctant to work this location? A reassessment is definitely needed.

Staff is rude and unprofessional. Though this store does have a nice selection of items. The staff was just very unfriendly and not very helpful.

If you're a makeup enthusiast, make a beeline to SEPHORA. But, whatever you do, don't make a beeline to this one. First off, the appearance of the store looked a little unkept. Noticed trash on the display cases. Makeup smears on the testers. Ugh! Most of the eyeshadow palettes on display were rough and clumpy. The place was crawling with customers sampling makeup willy-nilly. The selection? Didn't see an impressive variety of Kiehl's skin care products. Limited selection of makeup tools. However, the shelves were filled to the brim with brand names like Bobbie Brown, First Aid Beauty, and Clinique.As for the customer service, I was greeted by a team member near the entrance. Unfortunately, the other team members didn't seem friendly or helpful. Need assistance? You'll have to ask for it.Pro tip: The beauty services are on the pricey side. Need a makeover? The Ultimate Glam will cost you a cool ninety bucks!

I had a great experience yesterday. I came in with several questions and Chantel was very helpful and patient. Jacqueline finished helping me during my visit. She was so friendly, honest about what i did/didn't need and knowledgeable of all the products and the different ingredients that I felt very confident in my purchases. I will definitely be back.

I recently got my makeup done at the Chevy Chase location by Karynne and let me say... SHE IS FANTASTIC!!! As a woman of color, getting your makeup done can be stressful because you never know if the artist will be able to match your shade, etc. Let me tell you Karynne is a true professional and has a lovely spirit. We chatted like old friends and my makeup came out A++++. Also, the other ladies at this location are very nice and helpful. I highly recommend!!! Thank you!!

Wonderful location! I love Sephora!! I'm now hooked on the Laneige night lip mask,Briogeo hair products and so many more brands.The service is extremely friendly and they offer great promotions for VIB and higher.I honestly can say I never walk out of Sephora without a bag.

I visited Sephora at Chevy Chase this week and Kaylee was so helpful. Guided me to the product I was in search of, helped me choose the right concealer shade under store lights and in natural light, and gave me a quick tutorial on application.With service like that, I’ll definitely be back!Belle Elving
