Update to review below: Senior management at SSNB did contact me directly about my experience and assured me they were contacting the branch to train them and make corrective measures. They spent almost a half hour listening to my recap and exchanging ideas about how they might deal better with scenarios like the one I experienced.Called the Clarksville branch today about facilitating account signature changes and the supervisor and two other on-site employees had zero interest in helping me. They said all three people involved in the changes at my end had to appear at the branch together at the same time to make the changes. I explained that couldn't be possible due to the geography and timing of when the changes needed to he finalized. They said that since they didn't know me personally, that I needed to go to another branch where someone knew me. I explained that I have long standing relationships at the Olney and Gaithersburg Airpark branches also, but that our business banking is conducted at the Clarksville branch because our offices are in Columbia, MD. I asked if they could verify with my SSNB contacts at Olney and Airpark about my relationships, and they said no and steadfastly maintained that they couldn't help unless we all came in together. I'm not embellishing here.I explained to them that I've been banking at SSBB for 58 years and have multiple business and personal accounts and that I'm even friends with some board members and that my wife (who's a signer on the accounts) worked at SSNB for several years. That was of no consequence to them. Now, I can understand their caution due to all the scheming out there, but based on my comments it seems reasonable that they would take an extra step to see if they could help me, or verify my veracity and find a solution, which I knew existed. Nope, and their posture was clearly that I was a bother to them. So, ultimately, I got in touch with one of my multi-decad contacts at another branch who quickly outlined the remote solution to accommodate my request, which is now underway. Secure forms are being exchanged at this time to complete the process without my need to appear in person. The protocols at SSNB are lacking with respect to the scenario outlined here. I can guarantee from experience, that if it had been Bank of America in this request, they would have kicked in with a real customer service posture and accommodated my request and been nice about it. What a disappointment when being treated like this by a business where almost 6 decades of relationship goes completely out the window. I'm a poster child of the faithful customer. When the banking sector recently went into free fall after Silicon Bank and First Repliblic imploded, and then Credit Suisse and others tumbled, we kept our money in SSNB after the stampede of depositors went to BoA and others. As a matter of fact, we bought 2 CD products and a high yield savings at that time and even some shares of Sandy Srping Bancorp (SSNB holding company) stock because of our faith in their ability to rebound. Now, I'm not so sure of them.

I went through the drive-thru I put my ID , bank card, and a unsigned check in the canister. The clerk didn't even acknowledged my present by saying. Hello, or Are you cashing or depositing the check. Instead He cashed the check and sent it out to me. I sent canister back in to him. For it to be deposit to my account.

We closed on a home equity line of credit two Saturdays ago and we still can’t access our money to pay our contractor. They finally found our checking account, but useless if we can’t get access to OUR money....they can’t find our loan! I cannot recommend this bank at this time

Terrible weekend, I deposited my entire paycheck on a Friday and was told that the computer was down by the teller. I was handed a written deposit receipt by her in the amount and told that "As soon as the computer is up your deposit will be on your card". I later called the branch (Clarksville) and was told the computer was back up and running. I then proceeded to take my family out to a restaurant as I like to do time to time my debit card was declined. Luckily my wife covered for us. I called the customer service and was told that the teller had got off and I would have to wait until the next day even though the computer was up Sandy springs Clarksville let me down. By the way my paycheck was a Sandy springs check and could have instantly cleared. # BAD SERVICE
