Not much to look at on the outside, but could tell by the parking lot, it was the place for breakfast. I had the steak omelette ( so amazingly good) he had eggs bacon and home fries… which truly are addicting! Bath is small but clean, the place is ran well.

Ate breakfast here before skiing Nice clean little place great food good portions. Server lady was a little grumpy it seemed like but they were packed so I definitely understand. Other than that we had a good experience here. I recommend if you're in the area or even if you're not.

Would LOVE to have put 5 stars. Had high hopes for a new (new to is, not new to area) local cafe to use for our weekend brunches and dinners.Atmosphere: Very clean, unclear as to seat yourself or not. However, it is easily navigated and has plenty of available tables on a Sunday afternoon. Again, it is very clean and welcoming. A lot of obvious "regulars" as the cafe was full of vibrant laughter, a large table of group enjoying food and friends. Exactly the type of place we like to frequent on weekends.Service: Everyone was super kind and tons of smiles. That is pleasant, but there's still a job to be done, service to provide. Smiles get you further than frowns, but not when you forget basic service. We both ordered coffee, which only got refilled one time our entire meal from ordering to finish. Good thing we asked for water right away as well. There were plenty of open tables, at least 60% open at about 2pm ish, so not a lunch rush to excuse some service oopsies. We had some food issues I'll explain in food section which at no point were addressed at table by our regular server girl, nor the second one that stopped seeing we were obviously plenty finished for sometime now and asked if we were all finished and needed our check. She was very polite and clearly sorry we were left abandoned. But said nothing about the nearly full plate of food uneaten. Then, at the register, the gal, again, all smiled up and simply took our check and rang us out, did not even ask if everything was good, if we enjoyed our meal, or anything to give me an opportunity to tell them about our food issue. It seemed the entire visit was about - "We all smile at you so eat your food and get out. " 3 service folks had an opportunity to notice or ask about the plate only missing a couple bites.Food: we ordered from the breakfast menu as we were "brunching," and it says "Breakfast served all day" across the menu clearly to see. Wife ordered an omlet she enjoyed very well. It came with hasbrowns that were ok at best. Very crunchy on one side, nearly raw on the other, indicating the cook forgot about them and never flipped them and pancakes, keep reading.I ordered eggs, sausage, toast (rye), and pancakes. Eggs were exactly as ordered. Sausage was a sizable hand-made patty with good flavor. Rye bread was great. Toast was basically warm bread with a minor butter smear. Should be a bit longer toasted and some attention paid to the butter. Seriously, how hard it it to make toast?Pancakes - had we ordered sausage and fried onion flavored pancakes, these would have ranked UNBEATABLE!!Unfortunately, we didn't. I couldn't eat them. Pancakes should be soft, warm, and a bit sweet, but certainly NOT what we got here. I feel like they would have been perfect if, again, the cook wasn't in such a rush and put them where she obviously just got done cooking a portion of meat and fried onions. Griddle cooking is an easy task for a good cook. (Impropperly cooked has browns, untoasted toast, harsh flavored pancakes.)So in conclusion, they could all benefit from simply being in a bit less of a rush in each position, focus a minor bit less on holding a smile and paying a bit more attention to their respective job from service to cooking. Take a look at the plates, and if something has only a couple bites out of it, inquire as to why. If I was simply full, then that would be a compliment to portions here, but please don't assume it. You lost a ton from food to service based on the pancakes and failure to correct a minor cooks blunder. It is easy to rectify a food issue with a customer, but it is hard to make up for not even caring and fixing a poor review based on it.We hope to one day try them again, having grace to chalk this up as a bad day at the Clear Spring Country Diner.Oh, I should mention, the pricing here is incredible, but I'm hoping it isn't what led to the poor experience from poorly paid staff.

yall. this place has the best food. fantastic prices and wonderful service. we stopped in on our way to whitetail for snow tubing. what a pleasant surprise! barely out of the way and it was just perfect. 4 of us had lunch for around $40. absolutely wonderful. we live nearby and will definitely be back! Their menu had so many things we wanted to try. This time I did the Reuben and I definitely recommend (get the home cut fries with it!!)

Breakfast is excellent and served all day. Minutes off the route from I70 to whitetail and well worth a stop.
