My car broke down the day before Christmas Eve and was towed to Brinkley's Clinton Automotive. Customer service was wonderful, and the owner and staff were friendly. The day after Christmas Day, I was told what the problem was, and my car was fixed and ready for pickup. I was very satisfied and will recommend them.

My husband had our vehicle towed to this shop where the owner told him the repairs were costly due to the location of the default but that was a WHOLE lie so they could INFLATE the estimate by several hundred dollars. He just priced himself out of a future customer that needed other work done. Shame on you! Integrity in business is good business.

Definitely should avoid. I had a bad encountered with Brinkley Automotive when they were on Piscataway Road. I took my Chrysler New Yorker in for an oil change. They said that I needed the water seals replaced. I trusted them, had them do the job and paid them. Short time later, I had a leak. I crawled under the vehicle and looked at the water seals. They were the original seals. I was charged for nothing. I took the vehicle in and had them do the job which they were paid. You could say that God intervened, causing the leak to happen within the work done warranty period; else I would have to pay again. Fast forward, I avoided them for years then decided to give them another try, bad mistakes. I bought Monroe Quick-Strut assembly. When I took the car in to get the struts installed, their quote was really high almost doubled the All Data car repair estimator software. They used Mitchell software. I provided them with the cost from All Data. Their quote instantly dropped 45% (almost half of the almost double-up). I got quotes from them on smaller jobs after that and noticed that it's around $99.00 more than other shops. I am guessing that they charged $99.00 for the lift. Needless to say, the other shops got the business. Due to pandemic, I decided to help the local shops. I had them replaces the front brakes and rotors, and the rear brakes. Their advertised special sale price was a high. Yes, even theirs advertised specials were high, about the same as the dealer's normal price. They lowered it by 20% to compete. They kept the vehicle for two weeks. I got the vehicle back and drove less than 300 miles (may be less 200 miles). The brakes squealed. One of the brake jammed, heated up and caught on fire, lucky that I was able to put it out before the engine caught fire. I took the car back to them. After a week, I went back to get my tools from the vehicle. Well, they left the front windows open. It's been rainy practically every day, September 2020. The vehicle was wet inside. I close the windows and mentioned it to the owner. They held the vehicle for two weeks. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told that the hydraulic hose was damaged. Since it was not part of the brake, I had to pay another $280.00. Well, I couldn't tell if the fire had damaged the hose and couldn't argue the outcome. When I went to the vehicle, the passenger front window was open. It rained about 3" hours before. The inside was wet. It took five rolls of toilet paper to soak up the water in the carpet. This is just beyond reasons. That's not all of it. While I was in the shop, the owner was telling an elderly couple that their bill was high because of how they had to access the computer to clear this and that. It's expensive because it's a high-tech thing, you know. He's a fast talker. I waited until the elderly left, then asked "Did you erase the OBD?" answered "Yes".... Wow!!!! I bought an OBD gadget (Amazon $19.00) awhile ago because dealers want $127.00 to reset the OBD warning. I erase the OBD data myself and it's definitely not high tech: Plug-in, turn on, wait for it to read the OBD, hit Erase, done.
