I own a 2021 Mercedes GLC 43 AMG. Recently, the brake light indicator appeared on my dashboard, and I also received an oil change maintenance warning. I knew addressing both issues at once could be costly, so I decided to visit Mercedes-Benz of Silver Spring to get an estimate for the brake replacement and oil change.
While there, I opted for the 50K Powertrain Service package, which includes a full inspection, lubrication, and oil change, along with recommendations for any additional repairs. That service alone cost around $1,700. After the inspection, I was informed that all four brakes and three rotors needed to be replaced, with an estimated cost of approximately $3,200. I found that price to be extremely high.
Seeking a second opinion, I visited Clinton Foreign Car Services. I could tell it was a family-run business, and after reading their many positive reviews, I decided to give them a try. They confirmed the same issues with my brakes and rotors and provided a clear breakdown of parts and labor costs — which were much more reasonable than Mercedes-Benz’s quote. I agreed to the work, brought my vehicle in the next day, and was back on the road shortly after.
I was very satisfied with their professionalism, transparency, and quality of work. Because of this positive experience, I plan to take my vehicle to Clinton Foreign Car Services for all future maintenance, including oil changes.
