"Prime Storage - A Scam and Disorganized Mess!"
Prime Storage is hands down the worst storage facility I’ve ever encountered. The fact that they don’t offer a military discount is the first red flag. But even worse is how they handle their business – they lie about their computer systems, and it’s impossible to get a straight answer from their staff. They seem to withhold critical information about how their company operates, leaving you feeling deceived from the start.
But the real kicker? Their late fees are ridiculous. It’s like they’re charging you interest for being a day late! I, along with three other customers I know, have been scammed out of $104 for no valid reason. It’s an outright money grab.
The lack of organization is terrifying. They have no clue what they’re doing, and I honestly felt like they didn’t care about my belongings. The way they handle customers is insulting – they’ll talk down to you like you’re incompetent, then overcharge you at every opportunity.
Lastly, their prices are a total bait-and-switch. They lure you in with one price, then slap on an extra $30 for insurance, which they conveniently fail to mention upfront. Oh, and did I mention the break-ins? This place has seen its fair share of robberies. Absolutely DO NOT trust Prime Storage with your possessions. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Review 1: "Terrible Experience with Prime Storage"
I’ve used storage companies before, but Prime Storage has been the absolute worst experience. For starters, they don't offer a military discount, which is shocking given how many companies go out of their way to support veterans and active-duty personnel. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Their computer systems are a joke; they lie about what their system can or can’t do. Multiple times, I was told one thing by their staff, only to find out later that it was a complete lie.
On top of that, they withhold crucial information about their services and company policies, like they’re hiding something. Late fees are stacked on as if they’re racking up interest. And trust me, it adds up FAST. I personally, along with three others, have been scammed out of an extra $104 each. They’re quick to tack on hidden charges without any explanation.
The organization is non-existent. Do not ever trust them with your personal belongings! Not only will they treat you poorly, but they’ll also try to rob you blind. It felt like they treated me as if I had special needs, patronizing me while overcharging left and right.
To top it all off, their advertised prices are NOT the real deal. Once they’ve reeled you in, they throw an extra $30 charge for insurance. Complete scam! Save yourself the hassle and never store your belongings with Prime Storage.

I opted for climate control unit. Area has no air condition. The original space that I was assigned was broken. After 1 week due to high heat and humidity my tumbler lock had to be cut off and replaced with a key lock. The high humidity and heat had warped the tumblers. Prime adds their own insurance to your fee. I had to send them documents of my own home owners policy to get the cost of their insurance taken off my bill. They charged me more than advertised for the next month rent. I have seen the same dead bug in the same place 2 days in a row. That being said the customer service from the staff have been excellent.

Very kind employees and helped me whenever I had questions. Very secure place, always felt safe. Special shoutout to Chris who helped me and took his time with me as this was my first time going here. Would definitely recommend.

The storage unit was very clean and was above my expectations. I feel very safe with the office on site, security gate to enter/exit and located in a quiet residential side street. I was assisted by Chris on the phone who was very friendly, helpful and explained all questions with detailed answers. After a week or two I was contacted by Jeff personally, who is some big manager just to make sure my experience with Prime Storage in Clinton, MD was to my complete satisfaction without any problems. Although he identified himself as an manager with a big fancy title he was nothing but helpful and pleasant. He even took his time to guide me though the websites that I was not able to navigate myself. This really took some time as I am not a computer savvy person. Thanks Chris and Jeff. If anyone is considering renting a storage unit, don't even waste your time comparing other storage unit businesses (like I did). Prime Storage in Clinton is the best choice for any storage needs, price, location and customer service is hands down above the rest.
