“I love this Aldi! It's always clean, usually well organized, and if I can't find something, I know the staff will answer any questions. I love that they always have cute seasonal items and great deals on name brand items occasionally.”
“It was a cute little farm, the food was tasty, along with the Rootbeer float. Enjoyed the hayride, haven’t been on one since I was a kid so it was cute and fun. Got to pick my own Pumpkin, which I thought was pretty cool. Overall, we had a great time.”
“Owl's Nest Farm has been my CSA for seven years, and I recommend them to anyone in the DC area who is looking for lush produce, a customizable vegetable share, and a business that truly supports their workers and the environment. I am consistently impressed with the quality and quantity of vegetables we get each week in our share--greens galore in the spring, a veritable bounty of tomatoes, peppers, squash, and more in the summer, and fall brings the best of spring and summer plus winter squashes and root vegetables. Picking up our share is always a highlight of my week because I get to talk with the farm team about what's going on at the farm and rave about all the fun meals I've eaten with their veggies. Plus, they offer several different add-ons (eggs, meat, fruit, a solidarity add-on highlighting local producers/makers) so you can enhance your share if you choose.A big part of the reason I choose a CSA is not only for the fresh vegetables, but also to get to know the farmers and their relationship with the land. I am so proud that as of 2024, Owl's Nest is a worker-owned cooperative. I love knowing that I'm supporting a worker-owned business who treats their workers with dignity and respect, as well as treating the land with dignity and respect through their environmental practices.Of all the CSAs I've tried in the DMV, Owl's Nest is my favorite and the one I'm sticking with!”
“I love this store! It’s clean and friendly. Beautiful produce and meats and so reasonably priced. My only complaint is that the Italian sliced panini bread molds very quickly. I bought some yesterday and it looked fine or I totally missed it but it’s got mold on it. This is the third time so I don’t recommend buying it. Other than that, no complaints!”
“Let me tell you… this place has the best shumai I’ve ever had! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The ingredients were so fresh and flavorful! Additionally the pork skewer and spring rolls were to die for. The service was very friendly and kind I will definitely be back to this hidden gem! Thank you ?”
“Like shopping at ALDI has variety of seled items reasonably priced. But lately, I notice the store is dirty not kept clean food items out of place. Where is the manager? and why they can't see the MESS. Needs to do better or I will discontinued shopping at the Oxen Hill store.”
“I'll preface by saying that this Aldi is located at the crossroads of a gentrified H Street and about 4 different hoods. With that said, the crew at this store are able to keep shelves stocked, and their store clean and mostly peaceful. Every associate is helpful and not rude. They usually have the main items you'd come to an Aldi for. A bit smaller than suburban locations but definitely not lacking in the staples and brands you'd expect at an Aldi. The only criticisms are that the lines are usually incredibly long, and the restrooms can be pretty filthy between checks but those are really minor gripes and more due to how crowded the overall area is.
Great job Aldi ?”
“Love it love it love it here ❤️ everyone is great and kind, they have a lot of games to play if someone joins you. Definitely a great place to dine or just have a drink.”
“Was staying at a nearby hotel, and thank goodness that we found this place! Good selection, good prices, good service - saved us more than once in this expensive area of DC !”
“No. Still out of sodas summit brand over a month now. Still out of banana nut muffins. Just an example of items they always take forever to restock. Cookies, peanut butter cups, ice cream, choc. Doughnuts, 98cent salads. YOU NEED MORE. They sell out because of their great prices.”
“One of the least expensive places to buy groceries. They have everything you need for a week, all for less than half the price of other grocery stores in this area. They do run out of a few specific things for a few weeks at a time, but usually come back.”
“When I went it was a long line but the people there was nice. It's Aldi special where we are ofcourse. It gonna be a long wait in line but need more cashiers”
“I went to this Aldi on Saturday morning (around 9:45 am) and it was a peaceful shopping experience. There were plenty of good looking produce, full items on the shelf and plenty of Aldi finds to select from (which I spent quite a bit from the deals). The cashier was friendly and moved swiftly. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the staffer operating the big cleaning machine while shopping. It was in the way a few times and I was worried about slipping since it was wet. Other than that, I will visit again early in the morning.”
