So Friday August 18th I had went into the GameStop in Clinton MD right across from the Walmart the manager Aaron I believe his employee number is 561858 I had came in to purchase Madden 24 for my PS4 I was told by him that the only difference from the Madden 24 on PS5 was the graphics I repeatedly asked was the combine play on the madden 24 your manager Aaron told me yes. I came back Saturday evening August 19th to return my madden 24 and was told because I opened the game I could not get my full refund I could only get $21 or $30 in-store credit. Also your manager Aaron told me well he seen it on Google saying the combined play feature was on all systems but maybe madden changed it so if I wanted my full refund I could contact madden and maybe they will give me my full refund or I could post it on Facebook market I was highly upset with his responses. I felt very betrayed it lied to, and most of all disrespected I need some type of accommodation for my time and effort and trust ahead and your manager Aaron, I believe he lied to me just to make a sale. Also, I had only had the game 24 hours.

Beware if you are trying to return a system to trade for a different color because they will claim the system you are trading in as a "defect" even if there is nothing wrong with it and they haven't tested it. Also they won't tell you before that they are going to put it as a "defect." And they may add a warranty that you didn't ask for and not tell you beforehand.

I went in to buy a new PS5 yesterday after mine was stolen in Las Vegas. We had been talking to a very nice person (Cierra) earlier in the week about it, and we were hoping they'd be there for the sale. They weren't, which was too bad, but we were going to buy the console anyway and make some pre-orders. The employee there at the time told us he only had the console as a bundle with GameStop's proprietary warranty. I've worked at gamestop, and that's just absolutely not how bundles get sold. The ONLY time a warranty is automatically bundled with a console is when GameStop is doing a special promotion where they're giving the warranty for free. This guy just wanted to boost his warranty numbers because GameStop employees have to meet a certain percentage of warranties, pre-orders, and card sign-ups. Not only do I HATE being lied to by uninterested, bored employees, but I absolutely hate being grifted. We bought the console at Walmart instead and obviously didn't make the pre-orders. I almost canceled the pre-orders I already had. I also almost purchased the console through gamestop's website (WITHOUT the warranty) for pickup in-store just to be petty, but decided they didn't deserve the money. I hope this isn't a store-wide initiative and just the poor judgement of a single employee, otherwise I will be switching all of my pre-orders and purchases to Amazon, as the only reason to shop in-store these days is for kind and knowledgeable retail staff.

We went today to buy a new headset and they were decent in terms of customer service, the head set was great. We came to realize that the old headset wasn’t the cause of the problem. We asked about returning the headset. We had just opened it to test it. They said they would only refund 1/4 of the price which is absolutely ridiculous. We went back to get a new controller since that was the problem. The guy there just seemed to not be as interested. We bought a refurbished controller and there was already an issue with it when we tested it out. Overall GameStop be taxing.

If you value your personal time dont shop here. The employees are super slow. Had to put my purchases down and leave after standing in line for 20 min.

I pick up my pre-order copy of Back 4 Blood and got home and the disc was defective wouldn't install. They had the nerve to tell me they wasnt gonna honor an exchange for a new copy and was gonna give me trade in value for a defective disc and I had to pay the difference for a game that was just purchased yesturday. I shouldn't need a warranty because you sold me a defective disc.
