OneMain Financial – Clinton, MD (Malcolm Road)
I had a terrible experience with this branch. I received a pre-approval from Jonell pending documents, which I uploaded — including a vehicle title (in my business name), insurance information, and full photos. I specifically asked if the business name would affect approval and was told it would not.
After everything was reviewed, I was told I was approved and instructed to update my insurance and add OneMain as a lienholder. I then had to hook up my trailer and drive it 30 miles to the branch because they wanted to see it in person. Once I arrived, Jonell told me they couldn’t move forward because the trailer had business markings — something they already saw in the photos.
Her manager Daniel confirmed this and later admitted they had “dropped the ball.” Because of their mistake, I wasted time, money, changed my insurance unnecessarily, and took a hard credit inquiry that lowered my score.
This company was not transparent or professional. I would not recommend OneMain Financial to anyone — don’t let them “drop the ball” on you like they did with me.

Worst service ever. They ran my credit, made me bring all the requirements, even told me the loan was approved, and then denied it at the last minute for ridiculous reasons. Terrible experience and terrible service.

I heard about One Main through my grandmother who’ve had a loan through them. Since learning about them I’ve taken two loans out with Ms. Kiana. She is amazing and gets the job done very fast. Thank you Kiana!

Absolutely 💯 avoid this business!!!Scam took all my info said I was approved signed all the papers!!! Just to be collateral damage so they can get my Social security number ect....and give it to someone for personal use/gain.

Very efficient. Loan was completed by friendly, informative staff. No stress for me. Offered water. Privacy was maintained. The loan was explained,processed and copy of loan paperwork was provided in a folder.
