We t there for head cheese at the deli which when asked online said I could find it at that location however the clerk at the deli said they never carried it disappointing.

⚠️ Caution - since a recent purchase at Safeway on 7/7, I was the victim of a series of fraudulent purchases and transactions with someone hacking my Chase accounts, attempting to add a series of authorized users. The first red flag was during the time of my transaction at the furthest self checkout station in the middle, where my first payment appeared to go through, yet - only a small amount was charged thus prompting a second payment to make the purchase complete. ⚠️ Caution to card users — I noticed an issue with how my chip card transaction was processed at this location. The receipt showed missing EMV security data (TVR/TSI), which can increase fraud risk or liability in case of a dispute. I’ve reported it to my bank and recommend others monitor their statements closely. Hoping the merchant updates their systems or processing practices.

Purchased today (8/3/2024) two pints of Haagen-Dazs chocolate peanut butter pretzel ice cream via Uber Eats and both items have an expiration date dating back January 10, 2024. I received a refund but my real issue is with Safeway this location (Branch Ave) as someone is NOT doing their job of quality service making sure all expired food is removed from store shelves. I hope this is seen via their corporate office as I noticed Safeway has been brought by Albertsons. I will reach out to them the next business day. I hope this is helpful to others.

Edit: apparently the young man retaliated. Raw chicken was placed directly on top of all the fresh produce, NO BAG on the chicken, and the frozen peas flew all over my kitchen because a hole was cut in my bag. See photo. Thats not a tear. I am complaining to corporate now. See attached photos. All the produce is ruined by cross contamination and I KNOW they would have noticed a missing corner on the bag of peas. You messed with the wrong customer
Original review: They don't seem to understand if someone puts in all the ingredients to make chicken soup on an order.. leaving out the chicken is a disaster.
My order contained chicken breasts but thighs were indicated to be a fine substitution, however the brainiac working that department decided to not even try subbing the chicken they've been out of for 2 weeks in a row while not updating their inventory on the app.
When I called and explained why the entire order becomes pointless without chicken, he was rude and argued with me and said they were out of the particular kind in the substitution, entirely missing my point. Unless safeway is entirely out of ALL chicken there's no excuse not to include chicken in my order. We are also only allowed 1 substitute choice on the app. He hung up on me without answering what kind they would sub. So I don't even know if my order will have chicken. It makes me want to cancel my entire order and switch stores. I already stopped shopping at the other safewat, maybe it's time to switch to wegmans.
Common sense guys, this isn't rocket science and for the love of God, if you mess up, don't act like a rude ignorant teenager. I've gotten an attitude from a gentleman with the same voice on in person visits from the store to pick up orders as well. Sounds like an employee badly in need of coaching or maybe a different job

Only because the Deli area is horrible the people who work there are horrible they don’t have any costumer service training or at least any personal kindness.
They get mad when you are asking the way u want the meat to be cut they don’t change the gloves between different meat, I don’t have nothing positive.

This store is not well run, I stopped by the customer service desk to ask a question about coupons and the Manager acted like I was getting on her nerves, she abruptly answered my question and looked angry, another female employee was standing there also and she looked the same way, the people in the deli are always pleasant but the Manager needs to improve her customer service skills.

Potholes or crevices either way the parking lot Safeway will ruin your wheels. My vehicle fell in. Of course I thought I saw it but was surprised when it swallowed the tire rim. Beware.

The Store was clean, well organized and stocked. The Cashier was very friendly and I did not encounter a long wait in line.

Love the store but bakery associate was very rude while I was using bags for my donuts and snatched them while I was in the process of using them to bag products I was interested in purchasing.

The overall atmosphere of the store is dismal. As soon as I walked in the store, I greeted the employee who was putting away shopping carts. He said nothing back to me. As I am walking through the store to find my first item which was Skinny Pop Original Popcorn, I could not find it. There was a label with a bar code that said "Skinny pop Popcorn" so I know they sell it. Also, I came in this store last week to buy the same product and they had it on their shelves but this time I could not find it. I shuffled the other bags of popcorn around hoping it was hidden in the back but I still did not see it. So I walked around the store looking for an employee who was stocking shelves or walking down the aisles so I could ask them for help but I could not find anyone. So I ended up talking to someone from the bakery department asking them to call someone who could help me. The employee told me that nobody answered the phone and then told me that almost everyone left for tonight except the two cashiers and the manager, who was busy. There were no other cashiers, nobody from customer service, nobody stocking shelves, nobody working in the meat or dairy departments, nobody in the back of the store, etc. Then I asked him to call the manger and he said she did not pick up. Then I got in line to check out my items and there were only 2 out of 15 cashiers. The lines were backed up to the aisles. Self-checkout was not open (probably because there was nobody there to watch the customers as they were checking out). The cashier did well in bagging my groceries and telling me to enjoy my night but everything else I stated above is unacceptable.

The service to connect to the internet is poor .you can not get the deals if you can't connect to their wifi???
