this bank has gone downhill. I have been with this branch for eight years and the branch manager keeps changing the newest branch manager. Myisha is very rude. They're not understanding they have no compassion and they do not get back to you in a timely manner. I have been calling since 10:15 AM yet have not received a call that I called back at least three other times and spoken to two other representatives to finally speak to the branch manager.I will be closing my account immediately the fact that they want to have an account with such a huge business Medstar Health it's ridiculous that they have no compassion

My account was frozen and I was charged a $100 garnishment fee. It was determined to be a error and the account was released. Despite the error I was advised by Bonnie that the charge could not be waived or even considered for a partial rate. I asked to speak to the branch manager with whom I spoke with and was passively dismissed with her stating that she couldn't do anything with fees. I have been a member since 1994 and to NOT offer any type of concession on something that was done in error is outrageous! I have closed ALL accounts my personal, business, and credit card and will NEVER deal with them AGAIN!!!

Disappointed that the are not advancing with technology. I wanted to see if the Experian boost really worked but was not able because they do not recognize this credit union. Zell is an app that I would love to use because there is no charge to transfer money, again, Zell does not recognize this credit union.

Most of my interactions have been through the car loan department. Applied well in advance of buying a car. Was approved easily and started searching online. I asked if we had everything we needed for our loan. Was told multiple times everything would be fine. You can probably guess where this is going. In the dealership finance office find out the letter they gave us isn't sufficient and we wouldn't be able to use them for the purchase. Beyond annoyed because I asked several times to avoid this exact situation. What good is going through the trouble of applying for a loan if you can't use it when needed?

I have been a member of AFFCU for over 12 years. I wanted to get away from big banks that didn’t care about it’s members. My employer had AFFCU come out to a company event and when I met their team members they made me feel like family. I use them for all my banking needs, from credit cards to car loans. They have amazing rates and I will be a member for life. Thank you for making me feel like family and not just a number.

I wanted a good safe strategy for saving money, joined via another member referral back in 2018. Since then I use AFFCU as my primary bank, which now I feel more secure, especially having experienced bank fraud multiple times at my previous bank. The mobile app was updated earlier 2021 and it's magnificently intuitive and efficient, which incentivizes me to remain a loyal customer. Thanks AFFCU!

This was strangest experience I’ve ever had with a bank. I applied for an auto loan, the loan officer confirmed my eligibility based on my employer, I was approved, ready to send in all needed docs and open a account. The account was immediately denied based on my home address in the branch. I wrote back, I called, left messaging trying to understand what happened. The loan office wouldn’t respond and neither would the branch. If some type of proof of eligibility was needed, I could have provided it. Not even responding to me was a huge red flag. I do not want to put my money somewhere that I can’t get ahold of anyone when needed.

This credit union goes above and beyond with taking care of there customers. Offering financial and credit advise and has saved me a ton of money. Very happy I was able to join this institution.

Used to be my favorite place to bank, not anymore. I've been a customer for over 3 years. I have a personal loan, car loan, and credit card here on top of my checking and savings accounts. I woke up on 12/1 to see that my credit card account was closed for no reason. Because I was what they call "high risk" or I'm likely to default. I've never been late on any obligations I have with them, or any other company I'm with for that matter. My credit score is actually better today than it was when I was financed for my car loan April, 2020. I can understand if I were a bad customer with subpar payment habits, but again, I've literally never been late on a single obligation in my entire time with AFFCU. I'm disappointed and hurt because I really did enjoy being a member here. I will be taking my business elsewhere because that's not how you treat good clients.

I have been a member of AFFCU since 2005. I kept my account with them because the customer service is great and they have been there for me for all my financial needs. I have financed 2 cars, I have a credit card, started an account for my son, and have my direct deposit with them. Anytime I have needed them they have been there for me and I appreciate everything that they do to help their members. They make you feel like you are apart of the family!!!!

I've been with this credit union for a couple of years. When I call or go, the staff is always kind no matter how stupid what I need is. I only take one star away for two reasons: it's located in North Baltimore County, I live in South Baltimore County and even when I lived in Northwest Baltimore County, it was still kind of inconvenient to travel to the branch. My other issue is that it doesn't work with Plaid when I have apps that want to connect to my account like for budgeting, it doesn't connect and I know local credit unions typically don't push the technology that big brand banks do and that makes it a little difficult in this digital era but what I need for the most part is complete and accurate with them: deposits and withdrawals.

AFFCU has assisted me in obtaining financial freedom. They helped with repairing my credit and I was eventually able to buy a home.
