We opened a home equity line of credit and received inaccurate information throughout the process. For example, we were told there would be no fees, and at the end there was a fee. We were told we had provided all needed information, and then towards the end there was a request for more information. I cannot recommend this bank, sorry to say.

I just had another great experience with a medrano the bank teller that went beyond the call of her position and cashed my check when they were not even open yet . This young lady should teach that demon lady Laura Campbell how to be friendly to customers even when things are not always in order . That’s why I gave this branch a five star ⭐️ 04/09/2020

I was a Chevy Chase Bank customer for 20+ years. I left them after it was sold to “we’re gonna charge you $10 in fees for every $10 you have in our bank” bank (a middle finger to Jimmy F and Sam J). Signed up with Sandy Spring and never looked back. Good services at a reasonable price and I have only had stellar customer service at this branch.

So, it's been almost 9 years since my original post. I can now say that SSB has a mobile app..yay..but if you use any other bank as well, you can clearly see where the shortfalls are in the app itself. I have also cashed out all my SSB stock since my original post as well. I don't truly see how the bank will remain in business for the next 10 years.

I would give this back 0 stars if I could! And I've banked with at least 20 different banks at some point in my life now. You open an account and are told one thing to only be hit with fees and unexplained closures to follow. They decided after my last checking account was open and receiving direct deposit payments for almost 2 months that they wanted to change their decision - citing Chex system report information - but not saying what the reason was for their adverse denial. At the time of writing this review, I have perfect banking history and over a 800 credit score with reporting from all three major credit bureaus so let that sync in as to the quality of banking experience you can expect!

Horrible customer service. I have been a customer for at least 8 years and need to change my address. I have tried calling and emailing and the only way you can change your address is to go to a location (I think there are three, none anywhere close) or to mail a letter. They say it's because email and phone are not secure. This is after they ask you a string of security questions. The mail is not secure. You cannot confirm where or who a letter came from. No security questions to answer. I now have medical bills I need my HSA money to pay for and have no access to MY money in MY account. I am now looking into other HSA options. Worse customer service from a bank EVER.

This is a unique bank location which is not far from my home . Right across the street from Capital One Bank and The US Postal Service . It has 6 teller windows on the inside and 3 management desks for people that need help seriously . It has a outdoor drive through and Parking area as well . It has good customer service and it's atmosphere is welcoming , inviting , and friendly . The bank is every attentive with all the customers needs and wants . But they should put a no littering sign on their property so that no one throw trash on their property without paying or being penalized a fine from their credit cards or debit cards . So come on down to Sandy Spring Bank and get an experience you will not soon forget . They look forward to seeing you all and doing business with you very soon as well on your next adventure visit there .

Opened up 2nd account. Told there was no fee to 2nd one if I did not have online access. After 1 & 1/2 hours to open, they set it up wrong and I got charged $25. To add insult they charged $25 to close it. Ashton md location. I don't intended to use again

Staff are knowledgeable and courteous. I love how when you walk in they all say hello if they aren't helping other customers. I like the online banking service app since the last update. This bank was recommended by my best friend.

Do not get credit from this bank twice I have had issues with this bank with them canceling my card the I was away from home leaving me stranded ! First they deactived it because I need a chip carThen I said I lost it but the police department had it still canceled my card leaving me with no money. I only wanted to know about any charges of hat could have been made do use this bank..
