Came by here to get chainsaw blades sharpened but they do not have a repair shop so took my chance to walk around and see what else they had. Selection wise, sure they have what you need but where it got me was their price. I do have to say, any ACE shop I have visited tends to be so pricey compared to your big box store. Lights 10-12 ft was about $10+ compared to Home Depot which might run you $3-4. I also walked around the garden dept and soil was also a bit higher in price than anywhere else by a few bucks. I will say what may draw the customers here might be the staff. They were so friendly and saw one staff chatting up with a customer while being so helpful at the same time!! For that this truly does make it the neighborhood store!

It's so nice to have a hardware store nearby where the staff are pleasant and can answer questions.

Everyone who works there is always very helpful in finding what you are looking for getting you out of the store when you are in a hurry.

Wow. Let me say it again, wow, because once is not enough. I have NEVER had an experience in a hardware store like the one I just had here. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a friendly smile and a request to offer assistance. When I told the associate what I needed, she told me what aisle it was in and said she'd have another associate meet me there to help. The one she called was about two steps behind me, and he was very helpful, coming up with different ways I might try to do what I needed to do. When I checked out I was even offered a free reusable bag, the kind every other place charges for! I don't live near this store, just happened to be nearby on an errand, but next time I need something they carry I will happily drive those extra miles!

This place is wonderful. For the hundredth time, I went to Home Depot for a part - this time I needed one to fix my tub spout. Couldn't find it at HD, and (surprise, surprise) also couldn't find an orange-vested staff member to help me. Went to Clark's, got helped immediately, found the part. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Why do I even bother going to HD? Maybe some day I'll learn.

I rushed in before closing to have a key cut. Stacy was friendly, helpful and nice enough to cut the car key duplicate . The key was cut properly and it worked . Thank you !

Erik J, is one of the most knowledgeable salesman I’ve come across in a long time. He sold us our first grill and our next in the same go. Thanks Erik!

Lots of employees actually asking if you need help. Best experience in a home improvement store in quite some time. Also, the dog wash is great. I didn't know how to use it and multiple people came by to make sure we had a good experience.

I was impressed by the attentive customer service and pleasant attitude of all the employees - when they came up against a challenge - it was refreshing to hear them mention "I can try to McGyver it" and not give up.

I came in here with a complicated paint situation. Stacey and Erick were very helpful and patient with my situation and didn’t stop until it was figured out. It’s the most friendly Ace I’ve ever been to and side note, they are dog accepting. Even gifted us a a bandanna and dog treats.

You know that great feeling you get when you walk into a store and someone greets you, has information about their products and escorts you to the aisle so you don't waste time scrambling around? And does it all with a friendly smile? Yes, I know. That's actually an unfamiliar feeling in today's retail world. However, go to Clark's Ace Hardware in Columbia to meet George. You won't find a kinder, friendlier sales person. He helps so much, has a great sense of humor and is sure to leave a smile on your face. Thanks, George, for all of your help!

Staff is always helpful and will point me in the right direction. And if there's something they don't know, they're quick to find an answer. Store is immaculate. I guess the only one negative experience which was the one cashier (blonde, glasses) who was on his phone the entire time I waited for checkout. The other cashier (dark hair) was clearly helping a customer on the phone and ended up ringing me up when he was done. Even when Glasses was called out by a female employee (blonde, black shirt) on his behavior, he brushed it off, saying it was fine and the other guy got it. Very unprofessional. Like a stain on a white shirt.
