This is based on our first and only visit so far. Our greyhound was seen right on time with no wait. All staff were very friendly and welcoming to me and my dog. Though the establishment is small and local, they have a modern payment system and an online portal to track our pets medical history.

Clean facility and super nice nurses. They make your pet feel safe and at home in a way. I will definitely be back for follow ups.

Great practice, but are obviously over extended. Appointments are far and few between, and any urgent need they tell you to go to another practice - even for regular patients.

If I wrote everything I loved about this vet, I would still be writing this review into next week. I have a small dog sanctuary with a lot of medical dogs. Dr. Parrish and Dr. Mulford are very kind and caring. They are very knowledgeable and I trust them both totally with my babies, which says a lot because I don't trust anybody with my dogs... no one.... but I do trust them totally. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been taking my babies to this practice for 20 years. I originally chose this vet out of convenience because she was close to my house in Columbia, but, honestly, I would have driven an hour each way to see her. That is how great Dr. Parrish is. She's down to earth and very approachable with questions and concerns about your pets. If she does not know an answer to a question, she is not arrogant and she does not pretend she knows it. she calls you back after she researches it and gets the answer. Three months ago, I moved to Florida. By far, the thing I miss most about Maryland is Dr. Parrish and Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital. I have been to four different vets down here in Florida and I cannot find one that compares or that I like even 1/100th as much as I like Dr. Parrish. Having a good vet is extremely important to me with as many babies as I have. If you are in Howard County and you are not going to Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital, you have no idea the quality of care that you are missing. I literally offered to pay Dr. Parrish to fly down to Florida and vet my dogs once a year. That's how amazing she is. If I could give them 10 stars for a review, I would.

Never have I ever had a dog that gets SO EXCITED to go to the vet!! It's just a regular check up visit this time. I asked Brie if she wanted to go see her girls at the vet. She lept up and ran to the door, whimpering when I wasn't moving fast enough. When we got to Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital Brie caught a glimpse of Dr. Parrish and went wild wanting to see her. I can't think think of a more ringing endorsement than that! We can definitely feel the love here!

I've been happy with the care my cats have received at this practice. I prefer a cats-only practice, but there's nothing available within a 35 min drive of my house. Both Dr Parrish & Dr Mulford are excellent vets & they do a great job of communicating with owners on their pets' issues & options.

I've brought my pup here since I got her almost 3 years ago, just started bringing my new puppy here too. The staff is so nice, the doctors are amazing and truly take the time to chat through your pets health with you. Even during covid they've been so accommodating and responsive. I highly recommend anyone considering bringing their fur baby here.

Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital is a very knowledgeable, kind, and caring place to take your fur babies and pets for their health. They truly care about every animal that comes through their door and do their best to help. The great medical care is done with common sense. No unnecessary procedures or tests. My dog loves going there. When she sees me packing her bag to be boarded she gets so excited she runs for the door. She can’t wait to go. If she is that happy and willing to go, I know she is being treated well while I am gone.

Good, solid veterinary practice. One extra perk is that they offer boarding for their clients.

Maddie is a very nervous and some times difficult pup. The staff put the same love and care for her unique personality as my husband and I do. What a great place for my puppy. She loves her new toy, thank you for taking care of her!

We recently started taking our dogs here. I have met three vets. They are all caring and compassionate. I have never felt rushed and they give all options for your pet. Can't say enough good things about the vets, the techs and the friendly efficient receptionists. Highly recommend.

I just took our year-old kittens to to Hickory Ridge for the first time and left feeling very comfortable with Dr Christy and the staff that was there on Saturday. Warm, friendly, calm, professional people who also educated me to be more aware of some considerations that I hadn't even known about. Plus, they let the cats run around all over the room which helped to settle them down and accept the care of strangers. I'm so glad we found this clinic!

They have been great with my new rescue dog. He came down with a fever just a couple weeks after we adopted him. They were very thorough and checked in with us daily to check on his status during the week of antibiotics and pain medicine. They were able to reduce our bill and assist financially as they knew we had just brought him home.

I found my cat, Frankie, as a little kitten outside my house about a year ago. Being relatively new to Columbia I did not know of a good vet. Based on research and reviews, I chose Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital. I am pleased to say that a year later I am very happy with my selection. Dr. Parrish, Dr. Mulford, Audrey, the vet techs all treat my cat as one of their own. In fact, they greet her with smiles when she comes in once a month for nail trims. It is easy to book an appointment, they are always pleasant and they are always there if you have simply a question about your favorite feline. My husband-who is super picky about places-even enjoys taking Frankie in for her appointments as well. You would be doing yourself and your loved one (animal) a favor by going to Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital. They are truly one-of-a-kind in the animal business!

My cat is very sick and won't eat for days. They cannot get me in for 2 weeks. In 2 weeks she will be dead. No humanity or flexibility. No real human beings there, just heartless robots.
