Recently I had a winter coat malfunction. I mean, I just bought this new winter coat two months prior and the zipper on it broke, to the point where I could not keep the jacket zipped and I looked ridiculous. I was about to head on a trip and I was in need of a functioning winter coat before leaving. My faith in department stores have dwindled as they have shrunk in their footprint from their overall commercial footprint to their in store footprint. I wanted and hoped that JCPenney would be helpful in finding a winter jacket. When I walked in, I was upset because, in the midst of winter, they had already started to clear out the winter gear and replacing it with the summer gear. I mean, yeah, I get it, you want to get a head start on the sales, but we were still in the prime winter months and you had a mere handful of winter jackets left over. In sizes there were either too small or too big for me. I was exhausted at this point as I had been to several other businesses that day looking for winter coats. Then, well, then I found one. I took it off the hanger, tried it on, and it fit perfectly, or at least as close to perfect as it could. With my stature, I still looked like that kid from A Christmas Story, but it worked. It was warm, had a removable hood, and most importantly, a workable zipper. Then I saw the price...yikes! I was determined to see if the price tag was correct. I took the jacket with me in search of a price check scanner in the store. Lord, was that a mistake. I searched high and low for a scanner only to discover JCPenney does not have one. See, this wouldn't have been a problem except for the fact that it was on a sale rack and not listed as one of the items actually for sale. After traversing the store and seeing the lines at the registers, I found myself in the jewelry department of all places. Here is where I asked the gentlemen behind the counter if there were any price check scanner and he told me no. He offered to scan it for me and I found out that the price was actually 60% off. I thanked him for doing that and asked if he could ring it up as well. He obliged (and saved me so much time instead of standing at those long lines at the other registers). He even went the extra mile and walked with me toward the mall entrance to ensure I had a bag to cover the coat. Place the coat in it, tied it shut and I was on my way. With a new, workable coat.

Great location, clean and organized store. We always park at this JCPenney when going to the mall because I love walking through this particular location. The staff are friendly and helpful, as well.

Wish I could give no stars. Never get pictures taken at this location. Took over 2 Hours to be seen. I have been waiting for my pictures for over 4 days. When calling the store any extension you press will just hang up the call.

Now I went to get an item of clothing that was ruined and the lady at the checkout was too impatient with me. I even got someone to translate for me into English and he ignored us and didn't pay much attention to me. He didn't want to fix the problem and I even lost a part of my garment in the store. Because I became desperate when I saw the poverty of the lady who was at the checkout for That attitude is not an invitation to return to the store, I even went because I paid a guarantee when I bought the item and I didn't delay, but not even a month and a diamond was ruined. But I have no complaints about the store but about the staff they have in the jewelry department. For women, they shouldn't have stressed people even though I can't speak English, but I do understand everything they say and the lady was too boring with us and said that she didn't care about my ruined garment and even though I didn't have the receipt, but I left my telephone number as a guarantee and I paid with a credit card when I went and bought it, that was enough for her to change my clothes or fix the one I was wearing and very upset, she grabbed it and said that she didn't care and I was complaining all over the store. The truth is, I felt super uncomfortable and I better went home and now that I'm here I realize that I only brought one part of my garment and the other was left in the store lost and I lost my money. Thank you that lady

It's that time of year and this location is ready. There were many shoppers in the building but I saw several associates assisting and they are keeping the lines short. I was looking for a button down shirt with collar buttons, they had exactly what I was looking for in all the possible sizes. They have an amazing selection of stockings stuffer type items near the registers. They are also running amazing holiday Sales. Sherry helped me with my purchase and she updated me on some sales for other items I may need.

The older, white, male employee that works in the jewelry department could be much nicer and less condescending when answering questions. Not everyone is a whiz when it comes to metals and jewelry. Just be nice, geesh. The checkout lady, however, was very sweet. :)

I'm a big man that wanted a sports coat. There was little sequencing of sizes. It took much longer to find a jacket that fit and I liked. Lack of employees could be the problem.
