I’m so thankful for the design skills and expertise of New Idea! I walked in blindly unaware of the products and costs, nor how I wanted to design my new kitchen. Dorelys and Oliver were so patient, kind and most of all FAIR! I was able to create my dream kitchen and powder room for a very reasonable price with their help. New idea Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job in preparing and installing my kitchen countertop!! Oliver was pleasant, informative, professional and very patient with the coordination of installing my countertop while I was also working with a remodeling team for the rest of my kitchen.They had the specific Quartz countertop I was looking for. We ran into a design issue that was easily corrected before installation occurred. The outcome of the installation was perfect!! The pricing was also reasonable.I highly recommend this agency!

Dorelys and Oliver are so amazing! They went above and beyond at every turn. Dorelys is an incredibly talented designer with a remarkable eye for detail. They ordered everything we needed after the design work was done, and were always available to consult with the installer as the inevitable questions arose. We would definitely use them again. The prices are also excellent!

This is the second project I have the opportunity to work with them. Dorelys offer outstanding customer service; she is very attentive and pays attention to every single detail. Shortly after contracting with a home improvement company to renovate my condominium in Washington, DC, I was introduced to Dorelys Herrera, a partner and senior designer at New Idea Kitchen & Bath located in Columbia, Maryland. Dorelys was so much more than a designer for kitchen and baths. She is an expert in the services I was seeking in was extremely knowledgeable in the renovations I was seeking. To my amazement, she was also knowledgeable of the Washington, DC real estate market, but of the improvements that were popular among buyers. After discussion with Dorelys about my thoughts and price range, she provided options for kitchen and bath cabinets and quartz countertops, flooring throughout the condo, as well as specific porcelain and ceramic tile for the bath. She sent renderings of the renovation items so I could envision the end result. She also went above and beyond making a recommendation to enclose the refrigerator, which I subsequently approved. Dorelys’ ideas are fabulous! She thinks outside of the box. Working with Dorelys also afforded me one-stop-shopping for renovation items and contributed to the completion of my renovation record time. Dorelys provided “extra” gratuitous services as well. She researched light fixtures and made recommendations for doorknobs and pulls when I was stuck on both. What a wonderful service she provided. In addition to her design expertise, thinking outside of the box, and going above and beyond in providing services, Dorelys maintained on-going communications with me to ensure any questions were answered and any changes were made timely and within budget. She made the renovation project exciting and fun for me. She is a special gift. I highly recommend New Idea Kitchen & Bath. They are outstanding!

I had a wonderful experience working with New Idea Kitchen and Bath on several different projects. Dorelys Herrera was able to design exactly what I wanted. She has many years of experience working with projects large and small. What I appreciated most was the attention they gave to details, their sensitivity to our budget and patience with me. They let me be as involved as I wanted to be, making many changes until it was just right.These people were honest, transparent and brought the project to conclusion under budget. After everything was delivered and installed there were a few problems, (example, cabinet that arrived damaged) which they resolved quickly. I highly recommend them. Your project, any size, will be safe in their hands!P.S. I am not related to them and did not know them before working together.

We have done several projects with Dorelys and her husband. They are quality people and have excellent design ideas. She also will answer any questions the installer has regarding the various pieces that are shipped for the projects. Great service from start to finish and they represent various cabinet manufacturers as well as counter top fabricators.
