I came in worried that my 2 year old Dachshund was having seizures and in distress. The staff and Dr. Kim made me feel so much better after they evaluated him. He explained everything that they did and what they were going to do as well. It was well worth the visit.

I called Pet ER at approximately 12:30 pm on Sunday & was able to have my cat seen by 2:00 pm. The office was very clean & the staff were extremely friendly & kind. Although my cat & I were there for four hours (and $500 later), he received great care, was diagnosed & given pain medication. I would not hesitate to go back should the need arise. I would definitely recommend Pet ER.

Highly recommend Pet ER! Our dog was attacked by another dog and we spent 4 hours at another Pet ER in Annapolis with no care received and no idea on when she could be seen. We left the Pet ER in Annapolis and drove to Columbia and were in and out within an hour. We received amazing care and we were also able to stay with our dog for most of the process which was extremely comforting. We were informed every step of the way what was happening and what was being done. The level of communication and compassion was impressive and really put us at ease. Lastly, we found the amount we were charged seemed very fair and not overinflated.

They saw my guy pretty quickly, so that was great. It’s an emergency place, so it’s just so overpriced.

I was frantic and Pet+Er was fabulous. I was referred by my closer ER who did not have any availability. They were empathic, thorough, and kept me up-to-date on all tests and procedures needed and Cost. My puppy did not swallow the nail fortunately so all ended well! I recommend them!

Took care of our dog and helped him out. They have helped us out previously when it was time for another good boy to cross the rainbow bridge. Only complaint is wait time but that’s a function of no one wanting to work, NOTHING to do with Pet ER.

"I recently adopted a puppy but wasn't able to get him to a veterinarian checkup because everyone was booked. He started getting sick, so I came to this place because it was close to my home. On Thursday, March 13th, I spoke with a vet and shared that I think my puppy had Giardia or some other infection. I was told that he was just stressed and had an upset stomach. I also asked about vaccinations because I was unsure if he received what he needed. I was told that he looked good and not to worry"This is what puppies do when stressed". Less than 24 hours later, I am back with a sicker puppy and it turns out he has Parvo. Another vet tech also tells me his vaccinations were given too early, hence why he was exposed and got sick. I wasn't able to afford hospitalization, and my pet insurance hasn't kicked in, so I wasn't able to hospitalize him for the full five days. Dr. Kim didn't seem optimistic and lacked any form of empathy. He didn't explain how to sanitize my house or anything; he was just ready to go home. I got into contact with the breeder and decided to take my dog back to her for treatment because I could not afford $1500 a night, as most regular working people aren't able to. I called at 1:44 asking for my dog to be released the next day. I got there around 2:30 and had to sit there for an hour plus. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of Dr. Christine. I could tell she cared not only for my dog but also for me, a concerned tired owner who has spend over 2,000 in pet care for a puppy she's only had for three days. His vet tech was also very sweet so it's nice to see there are some great people here. I called asking if I could get a letter from a vet verifying the incubation period for Parvo and they acted like I asked them to drive a spaceship to the moon. Needless to say I won't be going back but other people have had great care. Maybe after this review I can speak to a manger.

The ER in Columbia, is really great. We had very little wait to get into a room. Our kitty was treated do well and they were really thorough. Although it was expensive as all pet ERs are, we were given a very clear estimate and the final amount was not a shock as I had already calculated an estimated amount. No surprises. They transferred everything to our vet and it was seamless. Very professional staff and the Dr was great at explaining all issues. It's nice to know they are there.

We have had great experiences here. The staff are compassionate and responsive. The doctors genuinely care about the animals and take their time to explain everything. I like their new check-in procedure where you can check in online, see who is ahead of you waiting at home and keep your animal comfortable at home until they call for you to come in. I much prefer keeping a sick animal in the comfort of home for as long as possible. The front office staff have been kind and all around we felt like we got great quality care for our pets.

I am very grateful for the Columbia Pet ER. They took amazing (and very quick) care of my sweet cat, Lily. They were attentive and very thorough. I was truly touched by their follow up call to check on Lily as well.

Very quick, efficient, and did an excellent job explaining what was happening and the avenues that we had to help our cat through an emergency event. Highly recommend.

Charges for use of heating blankets for pet to sit on while being examined and I'm surprised they didn't charge me for using their front door and sitting on their waiting room. Did nothing for my pet except giving me a $600 bill.
