Malachi is the best!!The store, in general is just okay. But yesterday I placed an order for delivery and realized I’d forgotten to change my address since I’d moved since my last delivery. Malachi (unsure of the correct spelling) helped me out so much, taking my calls and calling me as he was gradually able to fix it and I got my order without having to track it down and with no delay. Exemplary customer service!! Many thanks ?

When I came to checkout, none of the lines were staffed, the manager was extremely rude to my disabled sibling who needed to use a cart to get around the store. I will not be coming back to this store and I am highly disappointed in the customer service at this store.

After shopping I went looking to find a checkout lane.None of the lanes were staffed.Since I didn’t want to do self-checkout I pushed my cart to the customer service desk. I was informed by the attendant that he could not do checkout and he was the only person available.I left the cart and left the store. I then went to Giant that had staffed checkout lanes.

When you're more expensive than super markets in NYC, you've got a problem. When Whole Foods has times that are cheaper, you've got a problem. I'd rather drive 10 more minutes to go to Wegmans. I only come here for quick items like water, sugar, bread, milk, etc.

The night staff at the self checkout was nice, but the manager seem not, i bought a box of eggs broken here but didn’t check it, today i bring it back for return but his attitude is bad, he seem doesn’t care ay all and did not even sorry.

Staff often thinks people are stealing and will follow customers around until they pay. Along with that Western Union never has enough money in the register.

ordered online delivery 3 times was screwed up. Store manager wont get on the phone as she is on her precious break.

I don’t know if Safeway is trying to close this store, but it looks like they are not putting any investment into it. This store is not renovated compared to other stores. It’s the only one in Columbia after they closed the one at long reach which is frustrating because this store is not as good quality as the other Safeways. Safeway needs to upgrade this location!

They have the basic box items, but when it comes to meats, fruits, and vegetables the quality and selection is quite poor. I've had numerous pork and chicken items go bad before the expiration date (even once being bad the same day I got it). The vegetables are often low quality (soft from sitting on shelf for too long), and the fruit selection is poor. I wish this place was good since I can walk to it, but I always end up disappointed when I try it again and drive the 20 min round trip to a Giant.

Staff is rude & willfully unhelpful! Registers over ring sale items! Management is non-existent, they need customer service training, big time. I hate to go into that store!! Some food is past expiration date or not fit for consumption. But the rude unknowledgeable staff are a detriment to business and consumers. What a sad, miserable experience. What is going on in that store, with such blatantly rude behavior from staff? One guy named Jim, a tall person, is the worst individual there! He goes out of his way to be rude and discourage customers from buying. I’ve stopped buying there and have spread the word liberally! It will probably close soon anyway. The front door has not been operating for three weeks, why? It is a deadbeat store, and has gone downhill from there! I’ll have to contact Kimco, Bill Kimpton is the owner… What a disgrace‼️

I use Safeway for my prescriptions but today I forgot to take my morning dosage so I attempted to call the pharmacy. I have called seven times since they have been open for an emergency dosage and every single time I get sent to voicemail after letting it ring for a minute. Now I’m on my way up there because they neglect the phones. I’m not sure who is working in your pharmacy department today, but this is highly unacceptable. My Safeway would never do this.UPDATE: the pharmacy is closed for no reason at all. Sign posted says they will be closed Tuesday July 4th, it’s not the 4th and they’re closed. What a joke of an establishment.

Carts were available and staff were on point. Didn't rate a five because only 90 % lean ground beef was on display and only a few packs.

After shopping at this store for several years, i thought it would be time to provide some feedback on my experiences. The 'general manager' (taller gentleman) is an absolutely misrable person to ask for assistance from. He hastles you for receipts on items you purchase from the day before and when you provide the receipt on your Safeway app he makes it seem like thats not sufficient. If it wasnt sufficient, why have other employees done it with no hastle? I've seen countless people deal with this and have experienced this myself. This store manipulates customer reviews in the self-checkout and it makes me extremely uncomfortable having someone get in my personal space while scanning my items. The employees claim their managers are forcing them to complete the feedback. The store in general isn't extremely dirty but could be better. If you're looking to use a hand basket, good luck finding one because this store NEVER has them. It's like finding treasure if you happen to stumble upon a one in the checkout lanes. The store doesn't restock at all during the day some when certain items are gone, you're going to have to come back the next day or go somewhere else. This specific safeway always closes its entrances around 5-6pm so trying to navigate into the store can feel like a maze at times and ive seen many people confused when they try to walk through the identified entrances. In addition, the entrances usually are occupied by homeless or wandering people which feels strange. Store is overpriced with certain items compared to other big name grocery stores that are in the vicinity. The only positive this store has going for it is the location.

I was surprised at how nice the store was. I was able to get a vaccination, as well. Good quality food.
