….Worth a 0 star because of the receptionist a Black African American.
I am writing to share my disappointment following a second negative encounter with your receptionist. While I chose to overlook her rudeness during my first visit, today’s experience compelled me to speak up.
When I requested for Tina to do my nails a request based on the excellent service she provided previously the receptionist responded in an unnecessarily rude tone, stating that Tina doesn’t work on weekends but then another worker from the back said Tina was working at the back. Then they say it wasn’t Tina it was somebody else. The issue was with the way the receptionist responded to me stating “she had been working since 9:00 a.m. and I need to listen to what she is saying”. Frankly, this was uncalled for. Customers should never be made to feel guilty for making a simple request. Everyone has a job to do, and how long someone has been working should not be projected onto clients.
It’s unfortunate because Tina’s work is exceptional, and she is the reason I decided to return. However, the receptionist’s attitude has made me reconsider. I hesitate to return to a business where I am not treated with basic courtesy.
I say this respectfully but seriously. if this behavior continues unchecked, it will drive customers away. I hope management addresses this issue promptly to protect the reputation and success of your salon.

This was my first time there. You would think they would try to impress me. My gel manicure started lifting in 4 days. The manicurist was rough and condescending. I don't know why those people think they can do anything to you. They don't follow directions, then when you correct them they get an attitude. And always making up some fake extra prices for stuff. Just do the job right the first time. NEVER AGAIN!!! They gonna FAFO like Target!!!!

They charged me $65 for a gel pedicure and my a 10 year old daughter $45 for regular pedicure they charged extra if they calluses that what they saying to my 10 and 15 year old daughters. Price gouging. Don’t come here the work was not worth the $$$.

People are nice. Service is bad/subpar. I tipped not for the service just for the lady being kind. I didn't see them use new, sterilized equipment. They speak in their native language while serving customers which is rude and disrespectful. I came to get a mani/pedi but after the terrible pedi, I decided not to get a manicure and just leave.
This place should be inspected for quality and use of clean sterilized equipment. Store being on your phone. The manager asked me did I leave something when I came back into the shop to tip the worker. It's how you ask a customer a question that will put them at ease or at arms. I would recommend that you fo better however I think this is as good as it will get.
My recommendation is to not get your nails serviced at this establishment/shop. I will have to pay someone else to professionally do my nails after being serviced here. A waste of my time and money!

The people were very nice, but if you can’t do a service just say you can’t do it.
I got acrylics and gave them a picture of what I wanted and it was absolutely butchered. My cuticles were not done, I asked for almond shape nails and was given oval, the nail tech almost didn’t put a base color because in her eyes “oh those are natural nails”(im not a nail tech but even I knew there was a base color on the pic I showed her), and the design was not done well at all.

I've been going to Mimi Nails for many years now. A great deal of love and effort is invested in making the place welcoming, relaxing and pleasant. I have always been treated with kindness and respect as a customer. The owner listens to concerns and works out problems and needs.
If I had a little girl, I'd take her on a field trip to see an example of a confident and successful business owner.
I don't get the sense that customers are gossiped about in a language they don't understand -- the reason I left the "other place". I am proud to gift family members with appointments, including a frail, elderly mother.
I only go about three times a year for a mani-pedi. Sheena builds beautiful fake toenails for me where I have deformed nails from multiple surgeries. I can go out in public, proudly wearing sandals because of her skills.
