“We love Chesterbrook in Germantown! Our daughter has been attending since the last 2 years. All the teachers we’ve had have been great. Ms Sumitra and Ms Visakha in Room 5 are just amazing. Specially Ms Sumitra has been instrumental in my daughter’s growth the past 2 years. The teachers are educated, caring, and open with communication about my daughter. “Sending your child off to a daycare can be a daunting task. Wondering how your child will adapt to the new environment, and leaving your child with someone they do not know can be the most scariest part of it all. I immediately felt that my children were safe and cared for at this Kinder Care.I have three sons that began going to Kinder Care this past summer. The summer program offered an array of events for the children each week, that included field trips! The most loved snow cone truck was also there throughout the summer! While my older two settled right in, my younger son was having some issues settling in. The staff at Kinder Care continued to be patient with him and work with us even into his transition to before and after care at school.I can not thank Mr.Sam enough for his continued support and nurturing advocacy. He takes time to speak with my husband and I each time we come in. Making us feel as though our children mean more than just a number to the facility. Also, the amazing support staff needs a lot of praises as well! All of the staff have been diligent and caring!I would recommended this Kinder Care a thousand times over to any parent looking for childcare needs!”

“I would definitely recommend Grandma's Preschool and Daycare to anyone looking for a caring and educational home daycare experience. Both of our children attended for two years, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and support they received. I wish we had found them earlier when we were first exploring home daycare! It has been great working with their whole family and being able to see first hand the passion they have for their work.

When our oldest first started, his speech was behind for his age, and he was very shy around other children and adults. Within just a couple of months, we noticed a significant improvement in his speech, and over time, we saw him become more confident and comfortable socializing with his peers. One thing we really appreciated was that Ms Shelem conducts regular parent conferences where she shares age-appropriate developmental milestones and gives us the opportunity to voice any concerns. These conversations were incredibly helpful in understanding our child’s progress and how we could support him at home.

They’ve also gone above and beyond when extra support was needed. They helped us through a period where our son needed to wear an eye patch for two hours a day—something that could have been a nuisance or disruption to the routine, but they handled it with ease and care. Potty training was another area where we really appreciated their support and patience, especially since it’s been a longer process for us.

Another big plus for me is how involved I felt while they were there. Each year, they host events like a Thanksgiving lunch, trick-or-treating, Easter egg hunts, and graduation ceremonies where families are invited to join. I like being able to see how my kids interact with the other kids and teachers, and this offers a peek into their daily experience and interactions that we would normally not be privy to. Ms. Shelem also went above and beyond taking pictures on a daily basis and uploading them into a shared album. It's comforting to see what kinds of activities they work on and gives a chance to bring it up with the kids when they are home.

Lastly, I feel they’ve done a fantastic job preparing our children for kindergarten. They encourage independence in both self-care and early academics, helping our kids gain the confidence and skills they need for a smooth transition to school.

“Starting preschool was a huge transition for our quiet and cautious 3-year-old. I'm not sure we could've picked a more nurturing and amazing environment for him to thrive in than ECC.The small class sizes drew us in, the awesome and caring staff moved us with how much they contributed to our son's development. He really blossomed socially, loved going to class, and was well prepared for kindergarten thanks to their play-based learning and emphasis on the whole child. The amount of care his teachers demonstrated towards him is really something we'll treasure forever, and the school director and support staff were also very friendly as well as communicative & organized.The grounds (on but not affiliated with the Rockville Unitarian church) were really nice. The classrooms themselves are quite small, but no problem for the small groups, filled with natural light, and well laid out for imaginative play and age-appropriate learning. They do a nice amount of school-community events for being so small; my son recently enjoyed a picnic even as an alumni recently :)Thank you ECC!”

The home is incredibly beautiful and it is so nice to have such an amazing space outdoors for the kids to play. They constantly send us photos and videos of the kids playing and learning. “We’ve been at La Petite since our girls were 18 months old. Now that they’re 3, we honestly can’t imagine being anywhere else.

Communication was our biggest factor in choosing a daycare and they deliver every day. We get updates on meals, naps, potty breaks, and activities with lots of photos and videos. Everything is tracked in an easy app and there’s even a live stream of their classrooms, which gives such a peace of mind.

The staff create such a warm, welcoming environment and put so much thought into daily activities that help with the kids’ development. They also plan family events which are so much fun!

Principal Dana keeps the place in top shape, communicates promptly & is always available for questions. VP Anna has warmed up to our daughter so much so - we can her school mom. “Our daughter started coming here in November 2022. We were in a bit of a pinch because she was at a home daycare that abruptly closed. We loved the home daycare. It had 6-8 kids daily and the care was so personalized. We were so afraid of losing that for her at a big center, but so far, everything has been wonderful!She was a bit shy at first, but her development has grown exponentially. She talks so much and knows how to communicate so many things! Her eating has also improved since coming here. They've introduced her to foods that we had trouble introducing her to and she's also started using the potty on her own.We get daily updates with pictures, videos, etc. through their app. Whenever we pick her up, she almost never wants to go home. All the staff know her name and she's comfortable with everyone. It's amazing to see!”
