About Castle Rock, Sugarloaf Mountain
Castle Rock at Sugarloaf Mountain offers an exciting and scenic outdoor experience. The trail is challenging, with many rocks and roots, and requires attention to the trail rather than smartphones. In summer, the trail is mostly shaded, keeping it cool and refreshing. The hike is about half a mile from the parking area, with some elevation and rocky sections. Visitors can enjoy views from the top, where eagles and vultures soar at eye level, creating a breathtaking scene. The area is dog-friendly, and there are small parking lots with a suggested donation of $5. Restrooms are available at the start and end of the trail. Overall, it’s a fabulous place for nature lovers seeking adventure and stunning valley views.

About a half mile hike from the parking lot, but heavy elevation and lots of rocks. There are only several spots that give you a good, clear view, but still pretty. Fairly small parking lots, but for just a $5 suggested donation I guess that's on par.
