I am a Washingtonian born and raised here in Washington DC and I have remembered times when it wasn't a comfortable feeling to purchase firearms throught realco but nowadays after the last couple of years the purchase and selling experience has gotten considerably better. I have found that on several occasions the salesman have been very friendly and pleasant to do business with and there very helpful and knowledgeable with the processes of giving the best experience to be had. I also feel that if a person goes there with an open mind and just try communicating with the salesmen you will see.

I will admit, before going I had reservations. After reading the comments and knowing the location , I did not expect much but, I was pleasantly surprised. No warm and fuzzy feeling but, I prefer that! I can understand why some newer folks would not feel welcomed. This is the kind of place that you have already done your research and you are ready to make the financial commitment l. Don't get me wrong, the person behind the counter was answering my questions correctly but, he was very straightforward. Just answer my questions personally, I don't need or want 'the fluff" and that is exactly what he did; fantastic! Their prices are a little high. Compared to other FFL's in other parts of Maryland, they are on the higher side however, they are really the ONLY FFL in this area! If I were the only one in the area, I would have my prices slightly higher too. That is supply and demand 101! Their prices are not unreasonable, but are higher but, nothing else in the immediate area honestly to compare it too. I am super glad I used them and it is so convenient they are close by. Think of it like a 7-11! Will I use them again? Absolutely! Do I occasionally shop at 7-11? Absolutely! I had no issue with Realco and will be back real soon!

Knowledgeable about home defense. You can use a credit card for your purchase. Must have state ID. ID must match drivers license address. If not, you have to go to the MVA and do a change of address, and duplicate your ID. The new ID will have your change of address mailed to you and you can get a printout of the change in the spot. Cost for that is $20 at the kiosk. You don't need counter service for the address change. FBI background check came back in less than 48 hrs after purchase. Picked up my gun the next day. They sell knives, long guns, shotguns, rifles, stun guns, mace, eyes n ears, ammunition and weapon acessories. Service was straight forward and respectful. FIVE stars.

Worst customer service ever! I asked if they had barrels for sale, the young dude working there said “no” and I pointed out they actually did. I asked for a mossberg 500 barrel, again, the young man working there said they didn’t carry them and I had point out they in fact did because were a few on display. The whole time we were there, he kept his head down and acted like he couldn’t wait for us to leave. Definitely won’t be going back! Especially given the fact they are extremely over priced!

I am a middle age black male. I had work done there, I had tru glow sights install on my Kimber. The owner and the workers are very pleasant as well as knowledgeable. I personally saw customers of different hues there and we were all treated the same, very courteously. I am simply telling it like is. I would gladly shop there.

I was reluctant at first but overall I had a good experience. Good customer service and very knowledgeable staff. Limited but adequate stock of anything you'd be looking for. Lesson learned... Don't judge a book by its cover

Bryon and Cameron are excellent they suited and booted my glock 17 with a laser light combo, dueck adapter, red dot sight, and compensator. They sighted it for me the night before my firearms instructors test right before they closed, and it tremendously helped. I also bought my Tavor TS12 here. Realco Guns is the Real Deal. Idk what’s going on with these other comments, because this is the best service I have ever received from a firearms establishment. The music selection in there is also A1. Definitely a hunting vibe, but not dirty, not rude, and not even a hint of racism. If it’s busy just be patient and wait your turn. And there is clearly a no phones sign. If you ask them and let them know what you are doing they will let you use your phone. Give respect to others, and you will receive what you give. Some things you can find cheaper online, but they also get in firearms that you often can’t find available in store anywhere else.

The prices are extremely overpriced and this is coming from someone who constantly shop around at different shops. I’m a service-connected veteran and buying a gun at the PX tends to be more expensive. But never would I see the day that guns are extremely cheaper on base compared to this location. I went to see if they had a Glock 19X in stock but they said the price was around $750. I ended going elsewhere and only paid $629 for my 19X. I never had a bad customer experience with the staff. I really think the owner should evaluate and look at the competitors prices in area.
