“Owner stands behind his shop and his services. Had a minor miscommunication on some work and he resolved the issue quick and I felt taken care of. Will not hesitate to come back in the future.”

“I have been coming to Blue Fins for all my firearm transfer needs for the past 5+ years and have always had a great experience. Transfer fees are some of the cheapest in town and the staff is helpful, quick to communicate and friendly. As for the storefront itself, Blue Fins offers a small selection of firearms, both new, used and consignment that are well priced and sought after. They are also a preferred FFL for GunBroker, making buying off GB quick and easy. Bonus points for them recently rolling out a transfer rewards program where your 6th firearm transfer is free. Highly recommend!”

“I had the best experience with the Operations Manager Jacob. He was so knowledgeable and very respectful of my time and needs. He carefully responded to all of my questions and advised me on some things moving further when purchasing. I would always come back here! Good prices, great experience, quick, friendly, and insightful service. Thank you!”

“It feels like a good wholesome (for a gun range) place. Parking lot is large and in plain view so I wouldn't expect any tragic (knock on wood) things to happen”

“I absolutely love Freestate. They are always helpful and polite no matter what your experience is with shooting. I've been going there for like 4 years since I moved to the parkville area. And they are one of the few indoor ranges that let you get holster certified and rapid fire as long as you are doing it safely. My one gripe is that they need to expand. They are ridiculously busy on the weekends and their wait times can be 2+ hours sometimes. I would love to see them buy the vacant building next door and open another set of shooting bays.”

“I could be mistaken, but I believe that in 1970, when I graduated from the Baltimore Police Academy, I received some of my police equipment from Maryland Police Supply. I remember that process as pleasant, and the staff was helpful. I'm sure that process will be much the same today. I understand that the law in Maryland regarding hand gun ownership has been somewhat relaxed. I intend to investigate this matter and I am interested in purchasing a new hand gun. Mr. F.M. “As always The Gun shop didn't disappoint! Not only did I find a firearm for $80 less than other places the customer service couldn't be better. This place has stayed in business because they know what they are doing!! Definitely worth going to visit every 31 days.”

“I went here to buy my first ever firearms for hunting. I was looking for a good deal on a quality rifle and shotgun! They had a nice selection and I went home with a Marlin 336 and a Remington 870 Wingmaster! Both men who I spoke with at the counter were very helpful. They walked me through a few different options for rifles and shotguns and helped me find something that fit me well. There was an older gentleman there who gave me some great hunting pointers since I’m a newer hunter just getting started. Once I had picked my guns, they rang me up and were able to give me a discount of $150 (probably because I made a larger purchase and I had bought a gun that had been in the shop for a while)! The seemed like good people, I’ll be going back soon!”

“I moved to MD in 2011 and left in 2023. I found several “gunsmiths” within a couple of hours drive of my place, but Scott’s was the only place where I actually felt comfortable leaving a firearm for work. While I am not a gunsmith the Army invested enough money in me that I can do pretty much perform any first or second level maintenance and even some third level depending on the weapon. I have a Beretta 950 Minx (22 short) that needed some serious attention. Scott took it and told me that even though they were a bit backed up he would get to it and it should be done in less than 30 days. She was absolutely smooth as glass when I got her back and the price was pretty fair. The entire staff there is very knowledgeable and more than willing to help you out with any problems you might have. Oh and as far as ammo goes I have found that he always seemed to have the best prices for the match grade .308 that I was looking for. Even if they didn’t carry the ammo I was looking for they were willing to give me a reference to find it at another shop. Not many shops will go that extra mile like that or send you to a competitor’s shop. A lot of the poor comments I have read seem to be from people who wanted their stuff done immediately and didn’t seem to care what work he had scheduled before them. Scott’s is like the standard gun stores I have utilized and if you aren’t willing to give respect, you won’t earn theirs. Even though I am out of the State I still drop by when I am in town to see what goodies he may have stashed in a corner. I would and have recommended this shop to everyone I knew while I was at AGC.Thanks Scott and wish you the best of luck always.”
