Front desk and Doctor were excellent. The man who explained the insurance coverage and pricing was awful. He flat out lied to me about what VSP would cover in my case. He said contacts were "locked in" and that I couldn't use my VSP benefits for eyeglasses. A call to VSP and later the office manager confirmed what he said was not true. I'd go here for exams, but I want nothing to do with him.

Poor front office customer service with no shortage of eye rolling and attitude, both verbal and non verbal. The office doesn't seem to know how to schedule and handle appointments and respect for patient is sorely missing. We walked out before being seen by the doctor. With that kind of experience at front desk, any confidence I had for an exam was lost. No way would I want anyone in that office providing me or my family an exam. One star ONLY so that I could post. It's a big zero

We had a great experience here. From scheduling, to exam, to glasses. The team goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with your prescription and glasses. Everyone is patient and kind. I learned a lot from the whole experience. Definitely recommend.

Wont be back to this location unfortunately. Been going here for years. Always a fight on what is covered. So I'm at the Prince Frederick myeyedoctor today for my husbands appt and as I knew, the test I told the front desk at Dunkirk is covered despite them arguing that it wasn't.

Terrible, Awful, the worst customer service experience and I only was in the office for maybe a minute. To be clear, I was about 5 minutes late for the appointment and was apologizing for this as I approached the desk. Before I could finish my sentence, I was interrupted and told my appointment was cancelled. This announcement included an eye roll. I was very confused as I had never received a cancellation notice. I had my daughter with me and didn’t want to go back and forth with someone that obviously did not know the meaning of customer service so I left. She obviously didn’t care.I felt terrible for the poor girl that works with her as I would be embarrassed to be associated with her. The office should be embarrassed to have her as an employee. She needs Customer Service training or a new profession.I should have read the reviews first.

I rushed in the door exactly 12 minutes late for my much needed eye appointment. I was coming from another doctor's office, where I waited patiently. I was hurrying to my eye doctor appointment and tried calling (hands free) to notify of my possible tardiness. I was met with a voice-mail that operates like a website. No way to directly call the office where you are scheduled and I gave 100 percent trying to notify the office.Upon arrival I was turned away and rescheduled for four weeks later. There was no line of waiting people. I found it plain rude and unprofessional of the you get lady working the front desk. You wondered at times if had a pulse. Will be looking for another eye doctor out of straight up principle. And for me to leave a review such as this is a rare feature. I don't think I've ever left a one star review. Ever.

If I could do Zero I would.I tried to call and set up an appointment for my family. The woman who answered.. did not want to. And made it clear. Made it completely Obvious that she did not want to check information that I would need. Gave me a huge sigh when I asked availability Dates. If this woman doesn’t want or need a job then let her go. From the reviews it’s not just me. She’s hurting your business. After so many little cruddy. Hmmph. Hold on, ugh.I said you know what, it’s okay never mind I’ll go somewhere where I feel like business is actually wanted. Thank you though.Lucky to have the job, act like your grateful.

The staff was rude and dismissive - I had a 4:00 appt and they were grumpy and tired. They behaved as if they hated their job. I left before seeing the dr. Unbelievable. I will never go back.

I've always gone to this location since as long as I remember and the service is always exceptional! I am between prescriptions right now and lost one of the pairs to my last pair of contacts. I called them to see if I could get a temporary pair since I don't have eyewear and they were such a huge help. They were able to work with me and get me a pair of contacts to hold me over till my next appointment. Whoever was working the front desk is an angel!! Hooked me up with a pair, called different locations to see if they had my brand and prescription, and when they didn't offered another brand just so I could see--with 15 minutes to close too. Super friendly, helpful, attentive service. Absolutely recommend. Not to mention during my regular appointments, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

As a new patient here, Dr. Franklin was amazing and her medical assistant and front desk receptionist were great too. However, I have had two negative experiences with the older man who works in the eyeglasses area of this office. All the women are great here (friendly and professional and courteous), just not that one man.On the day of my exam, he couldn't find the correct insurance form for my medically necessary contacts. After an awkward 5-10 minutes of me waiting there while he searched on the Davis Vision website, I finally offered to Google search the correct forms and found them within 30 seconds. He asked me to email them to him, so I did but he never bothered to compare the forms I found with the forms he found, and ended up printing out a form for "routine procedures" rather than the one I found and sent to him titled "medically necessary contacts form." He told me to be patient because it can take 5 weeks for insurance to get back on these requests. One week later, I brought in the filled out form (and blank extras for them to have readily available for future patients) simply to be helpful in case the office could send in both forms and one of them might work, rather than all of us (office and me included) waiting 5 weeks to find out he had sent in the wrong form. When I tried to do so, the receptionist was kind and offered to have me wait there to talk to Dr. Franklin about it after she finished with her last patient of the day. However, this one male employee stormed over to see what was going on with this form he had already sent out last week. When I tried to explain why I brought it, he interrupted me saying that he had already gone to the trouble of filling out a 10-page long form and wasn't going to do this one as well, and when I reminded him about the differing titles between the forms, he acted as if I had insulted his ability to do his job and then began shouting "YOU'RE DONE, GET OUT, YOU CAN LEAVE, YOU HAVE NOTHING MORE TO DO HERE." Despite my shock, I tried to diffuse the high-tension scene by confirming how long until we heard back from insurance then, and he said "You just need to go home and leave it alone for 2 more months." When I reminded him that last week he told me it'd be 5 weeks, he snapped back "THAT'S THE SAME THING, NOW LEAVE."I was absolutely shocked to have been spoken to that way at all, let alone in a medical office setting where everyone is on the same team (patients included) for adequate care. Yes, I am a young person in my 30's but I myself have worked in 5 different healthcare jobs and can't think of a single situation when it would have been appropriate for me to treat a patient that way, and I would have been immediately disciplined by management if I had ever behaved similarly. From a customer service standpoint, it would have been so easy for him to politely say "Thank you for bringing this in, have a nice day!" and then just toss the form if that's all he's going to do with it; but no, instead he *chose* to raise his voice at me in front of the entire office of staff and other patients.I literally came home in tears at being spoken to so harshly and I honestly don't know if I will return as a patient/customer to this office. I am sharing my honest experience here so that others will know in advance to tread lightly around this particular man, who clearly interpreted my attempt at helpfulness as a personal insult against him and who does not seem to prioritize the best interest of patients -- despite us putting our trust in them to professionally handle our healthcare needs.

I was dreading the eye puff but the staff put me at ease and everything went well. The exam portion was fine as well. Everyone was nice , personable and professional.
