Staff not trained, management is rude, and the price is not always the price. I tried to buy cherries marked at 2.99 lb. The staff couldn't figure out how to ring them up, so she called over another checkout person. He couldn't figure out either. So they called someone named "Sheila" over the intercom. When Sheila arrived, I needed to move to another register, where I was informed the 2.99 price requires me to download an app. also, it's only 2.99 for the first 3 lbs. I commented that when something is marked at a certain price, I usually expect it to be that price. Sheila must have thought I was being rude, because she responded to this by rudely saying that I need to read all the writing that is "around the price." I told her my point stands, and she said, "mine too." Overall, I left the place feeling like garbage. My advice is to go get your cherries somewhere else. And if you see Sheila, just walk away.

It is sad that this store has gone so downhill. The store is a wreck, the people who work there hate their job, won't help and forget about getting anyone to help you at the deli counter. Nothing but crickets there. The new deli manager has anger issues and really shouldn't be working with the public. Must say Renee and her pharmacy team are the best I have worked with. Love them....they are truly a gift. Hope managements makes some changes with staff for the better.

it Is amazing that they have added delivery during Covid! What is more amazing is that they confirm your order, charge you, mark your order delivered, and unapologetically DONT deliver your food. Save your self a headache and use Instacart, Giant, or Harris Teeter! This store is barely equipped for pick up and the staff are becoming more and more rude as they are Unable to do their jobs effectively.

Very very displeased with this product. I called yesterday to ask if they had an Over The Hill themed cake in their kits and they said they didn't I spelled the name of the persons name to go on the cake clearly and they even spelled it back to me. I go in and they spelled the name wrong, told me they didn't have any boxes and then they proceeded to SCRAPE the name that was spelled wrong off and rewrite it. I will NEVER get another cake from this institution again. Decorations were definitely NOT worth 40.99 and I'm assuming the cake will not taste like 40.99. Very very displeased. Absolutely unacceptable.

Always enjoy going to Safeway until I had an awful experience with a young man who worked in Deli. He was rambling on about how these new PlayStation 5 SSD's are gonna be faster than any computer on the market. I was furious and THREW my Reuben at him and he ducked and started making Half Life Combine laughing noises at me. I demanded for his manager but was just called a Karen instead. Very unprofessional.

They never have baked chicken ready at 11:15A. When you ask, you get a gruff 45 mins or 1 hour. Grouchy people working the deli. They act like they are doing you a favor when you ask about items back there. When they actually do their job and get the food out, its actually good. That why I am giving two stars instead of one.

I'm really surprised at all the negative comments about this Safeway. I was always a Giant shopper, but one day went into Safeway with a friend. From that day forward I never went anywhere else. The produce and meat is so much better then Giant! My only complaint is the self checkout, the machines are very sensitive and always seem to glitch. I absolutely love Renee, the pharmacy manager. She and her staff are the most wonderful people! They always have a big smile on their faces and are so helpful.

They need to work on stocking up on some things in the store and some employees are rude but the rest are really friendly and really care about the customer.
