North Point State Park is a beautiful and diverse park with long, entertaining trails. It offers a very nice trail walk, including a really nice boardwalk, fields of grass, swampy areas, and a rocky or sandy shoreline. There is a long dock to walk down and be on the water, which is beautiful and clean. The park is great for swimming, fishing, and seeing people catch crabs and blue catfish off the pier. There are plenty of shady areas for picnicking and grilling food. It is a beautiful place to take photos and see wildlife in action, with the marsh trail noted as great for birdwatching. Visitors can also see some history at a small museum. The park is open from 8:00 am until sunset, closed on Christmas Day. It is known to fill to capacity on summer weekends and holidays, with all visitors turned away if full; arriving at opening and carpooling is encouraged. Entry payment is cash only, and a ticket must be obtained online for entry on weekends and certain times. Small concession items are available at the Visitor Center during its operational hours.
Great 4 BBQs w/grills, fishing, swimming, trail hiking, dogs.

Very nice trail walk, but make sure you have cash as the payment to get in is cash only. For an 8km walk you get to see a really nice boardwalk and has a small museum as well.
