A great place with wonderful, patient, caring staff. Our dog thrives there and has become much more confident through her interactions with other dogs and the staff. Complete confidence in them.

We have had an amazing experience with Beechnut Kennels. Our Gus was well cared for and returned to us happy and healthy. The staff was so helpful when we boarded him last minute (to have a baby) and even when we had to extend our reservation mid-stay. I can’t say enough good things. You can tell a lot about how a much they care from the beginning to the end. The questions they ask, the required trial day. All of it. Simply the best experience.

This is my dogs number one favorite place to go. He loves coming for the day, he loves coming to board - he’s always rushing to get in and play when we arrive.

My dogs and cat absolutely love it here!! I was so nervous when we started because my dogs had a bad daycare experience but I could tell they still wanted to be social. Beechnut absolutely took it slow with them to make sure they felt safe and assured this wasn't the same as before. Now when we drop they don't even look back. Just head straight on in, even know what the word Daycare means. The cat has boarded here and also had a good time. She didn't come home with boundless energy so I know she got play time. They always answer my questions and reassure this nervous pet mom. Couldn't dream of boarding or having daycare anywhere else! Worth the 30 minute drive, no question.

My dog loves it here and has been going for about a year. He’s super happy and super tired after daycare and we appreciate it :)

I have been interested in professional dog training for many years, because I like to communicate with, and understand my dog better. And as we take our dog out with us as much as possible, including on long vacation trips, it is important that Louie (the dog) knows how to behave well in any situation. To be honest: I really like it, when people remark on how smart and well trained my dog is. However, I have encountered several dog trainers who use old fashioned, outdated methods. There is no need to punish your dog.A good trainer, like Colleen Fee, uses exclusively positive reinforcement. Treats and praise. As Louie and I had worked with other trainers already, Colleen invited us for a 30-minute evaluation, free of charge. Louie was ready for the advanced class, oh, yes, and just like that, within 10 minutes during the evaluation, Colleen taught Louie to bow. Later we learned that there were 4 dogs registered for the Sunday advanced group, but Colleen split them in 2 groups of 2 dogs each, to give every dog plenty of personal attention. Colleen really UNDERSTANDS dogs. She communicates with them on a level that I truly admire and try to copy, just a little bit. Every training hour was prepared into the last detail, Colleen set up whole agility and obstacle courses in the clean, spacious indoor training room. There was not a single moment of frustration or boredom or forcing the dog. Just fun and playful learning. All human and canine participants were eagerly looking forward to the classes. After 6 weeks, Louie and I have improved walking "heel" about 100%, we also really reached improvement in recall, circle around objects, "weave" between my legs while walking and "stay" and we learned many brand-new tricks, such as walking backwards, bowing, crawling and knocking over water bottles and other objects (Louie's fave), jump through hoops, and much more. I have learned some surprising methods to keep Louie attentive during training, which was one of my major challenges. I learned how to reward better and many other training tools. Colleen patiently answered all our questions with expertise. She has a pleasant, accommodating personality and natural authority during training, that comes from her impressive knowledge and abilities.

My dog Bumblebee loves going to Beechnut Kennels so much that he starts going crazy with excitement a mile down the road and tries to climb out of the car to get there faster. The staff are always similarly excited to see him too. We are never sad to drop him off there, just a bit jealous that he seems to like them more than us. ;)

Beechnut Kennels is AMAZING!!! I feel so lucky that I found them for my energetic dog, Eddie! The staff truly seem to genuinely care about every single dog and their communication is GREAT. I had taken Eddie to a different doggie daycare before and never heard much about how he was doing. It felt so large that it didn't feel like they could watch the dogs closely enough. At Beechnut, they've communicated to me about everything I'd want be contacted about (ex. ripping up his mattress when he boarded once, eye discharge, very loose stool, when he wasn't seeming or playing like himself 2 days in a row....turns out because I was home sick and his routine was all off and it was affecting him more than I realized). It's the only place where I feel I 100% trust Eddie's care. He always barrels out of the car when we pull up! He loves it there so much and so do we!!!! Thank you Beechnut Kennels for taking such amazing care of Eddie!!

We didn't use the doggie day care yet. We have been going to the dog training classes once a week. The class is great. They do t train like other places where they want your dog to act like show dogs. This place Teaches you and your dog to get along. For them to walk with you no it pulling forward of running after cars people etc. Exactly what we needed. I don't need my dog to do perfect bows and steps etc. I want my dog to be happy and listen to me. That is what they teach. They may have other classes for the other stuff but our class is great
