The Crab Cakes are to die for! Quaint, little family restaurant. Excellent service and great seafood. They also have a bar if you just want to stop in.

We waited about 20 minutes for a table, which was fine because we were waiting on the rest of our party (they won’t seat you until your entire party is there). Okay no problem, but then once our party was there they made us wait another 10 minutes. Once we asked, they said our table was ready but it would be another 5-10 minutes because they didn’t have enough menus???? Mind you, we had an older woman and a very pregnant woman in our party. As for the food, the crab cakes were OKAY. The rest of the food was just bad. We got cold dry rolls, dry overcooked, flavorless potatoes, and soggy fried okra. I never even got the green beans I ordered after they said they would bring them. The also forgot the soup we ordered entirely. We paid over $85 for 3 people and it wasn’t the slightest bit worth the price. Also, one server brought something out too late/later than she was supposed to and the other server yelled at her in front of us and it was very awkward.

Given this was our first experience here, it was quite wonderful! At first we didn't know where to check in to begin dinner but that was situated quite quicky. Employees are attentive even with how busy the restaurant was and the food? I'm still dreaming of it today. Their crab cakes are truly the best crab cakes I've had in any restaurant in Maryland! All the food was on par, the pricing is decent, everything was timely, and I can't wait to come back!

The chef's table or open kitchen concept adds an interactive element to the dining experience. Watching the chefs in action enhances the overall enjoyment.

Decided to give Edgewater another go. Been dining here for 60 years. Was my family and extended families go to place for "MARYLAND" Jumbo lump crabcakes up until about 10 years ago. Recipies the same but even when one orders the MARYLAND cakes vs the regular crabcake I'm not convinced there's much if any MD crabmeat anymore. Sure isn't Jumbo lump either. Call me a crab snob but I've been catching, cleaning and eating locally caught river crabs as long as I remember and there's no comparing the imported crab vs the true blue MD crabmeat sweet flavor. If your gonna put it on the menu please serve it because the price sure reflects the difference. I'm not gonna ruin anyone else in the parties meal or wait to have it replaced (which I've done before) so I'll just drive to the shore when I want an authentic MD crabcake served.

Debbie and her hardworking family made us feel like cherished family who haven’t been home for a while. The crab cakes were the best our whole table has ever had! I had the fried oysters… which were lightly breaded and delicious. Service was wonderful and we had an unrushed catch up with dear friends from Annapolis.

Very disappointed the broiled crab cake was awful to expensive and you would think with the high prices they would at least have fresh rolls hard as a rock !!!!!!

I have never beem to a place who had crab cakes that tasted like they came directly off the ocean floor and the kicker was the filet mignon was over done when i asked for medium rare and was beyond bland. None of us were happy with the food at all, we tried giving this place a shot because of how crowded it always is but it just showed me that people have no taste and enjoy bland food

My husband and I lived in Mayo Beach for years. We ate here at least once a week. We loved everything about it here. Used to talk to Grandma as she picked crabs for the crab cakes my husband loved. Happy to see it is still open. I really miss eating here. Everything we had was always great. Keep up the good work.

I wanted the rockfish, but unfortunately they were sold out...oh well, I will try again next time. Huge, moist crab cakes and the salad bar was AMAZING!! Family-run and family-friendly atmosphere, incredible service!
