Tuesday January 16, 2024 Bank hours are open at 9am Location Edgewater, Md. At 9:15 no one was there and doors were locked. Website states they are open. Total waste of my time. Yes we had a total wopping 3 inches of snow yesterday but the bank across the street was open. And OMG trying to set up the account and photo check option - totally one of the most frustrating things i have done in a very long time - we will be looking for a new bank asap will not recommend this bank ever

I only used the Drive Thru ATM but it was easy to access and easy to get in and out from Old Solomans Road.

I'd give it zero stars if that were a possibility..... maybe not this particular branch but the bank as a whole ..... I have direct deposit from my work on fridays I send money to my landlord. I follow my available balance as the mobile site says to do. I send the money and my account goes down accordingly right? But then recently I've been hit with a temp reverse negative balance credit.... Twice now in various amounts .. I asked the bank what it is and they told me it's because they covered an amount I sent through zelle and they can wait up to 90 days to take the money out of my account .... Now they've already made my balance less than my deposit so the payment was taken out of my account but then they think they can double dip using the "economic stimulus" as their reason when I haven't had a payment deposited into my account since the end of 2020..... I will be closing out my bank account as soon as I can; because I don't like thieves . Not like they let me keep all of my paycheck and waited to take the money out of my account.... If that were the case I'd completely understand. Nope they're stealing . I've had this bank account for 17 years now.... It's a shame too

The people that work at the Edgewater MD branch of M&T are not familiar with their ATM. I called prior to going to the bank to find out the maximum I could withdraw from the ATM and was told $1000. When I went there to use the ATM the maximum allowed according to the screen was $500. The WAWA next doors allows a $500 withdrawal and there is no charge for using their ATM. I went to WAWA. I can see why this bank has only gotten a 2 star rating on other rating sites.

Would give this place 0 stars if I could. This is the absolute worst customer service. Tellers don't pick their heads up or acknowledge your presence. Representatives sitting in their desk ignoring clients on their cell phones. This place makes Bank of America look good. Don't bank here.

I went to this bank to cash a check(I don't have an account at this bank). On a Friday afternoon there was a teller with 4 other tellers in plain sight and none of them could help with the line. This is exactly why I bank at a credit union. Regular banks are the worst. I requested all 100 dollar bills and they told me they did have any more...at a bank!!! I feel bad for people who have accounts here.

If you would like to hear about this specific branch, then I will tell you that it is staffed with people who can barely speak English. I am no racist, no am I anti-immigration; however, if you put people in the front to deal with the public, then you should at the very least make sure that their language skill are adequate for the position. Secondly, the branch manager and assistant manager are always too busy to deal with a customer who is coming in for help. Based upon this, and other information to follow, I plan to close my account with M&T and go to a smaller, more user-friendly bank like Essex. Secondly, M&T maintains a web site, offers an app that you can download onto your device (cell phone, tablet, etc.) yet every time I've needed to access information from the web site, it is down! If you call their 800 help line, get ready to sit on hold forever, or to be told it is after service hours, "Call back tomorrow." One can't even leave a message at their home branch. I have been nurturing a simmering hatred for M&T for some time now and it has finally hit critical mass.

I wanted to switch banks...being as though my credit union is forever getting me with a monthly maintenance fee or some other this or that! It's just way too much work for a regular checking account! Anywho, I went to this M&T branch to open a new account and I was told that I should speak to Glenda or something with a G. I walked inside with a baby boy and she barely spoke! She never broke a smile, or even a smirk for that matter! Clearly...rude and has a NEGATIVE amount of customer service experience! She asked me questions and one was about my employer and I declined to answer. I just want a fricken account and they want a DNA sample! I said no thanks! She handed my cards back and I walked away! The entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I never want to open an account here again and will keep my other account!

Love working with Michael and the other bankers here. Very professional, yet kind and caring as well. Worth going out my way to do my banking at this branch!

This has been the best M&T branch to work with in the Anne Arundel county area! Always there to answer any questions you have. Their ATM rarely has issues unlike some other in the area! Great team work!
