I have never complained before. But I can't keep quiet about this. I went into your store for the first time to shop, and one of your employees greeted me rudely right in the entrance (most likely from customer service) just bc I used the wrong door to enter. There was no visible sign on both doors (see photo). The exit door was always open, and I could not see a sign. There was a woman who entered through the same door in front of me, too. I just followed her.
I also work in retail and with people, and I had a long day, too. But you have to be nice to your customers and to people in general.

Came in around 8:30 on a Tuesday and did a full shopping spending nearly $300 when it came time to checkout at 9:15 there wasn't a single register open and multiple employees just standing around watching while I had to do self checkout which is not made for a full shop. Store does not close until 10pm so no excuse at all not to have a single register open. Next time I need to do a full shop I'll know to go elsewhere

Shelves stocked, everything looks clean, but only two checkers & no baggers. Sure, there are six self checks but I don't like juggling groceries. One checker requested baggers ~ no-one came. Two associates standing by customer service ~ talking ~ did not respond to request. My time is valuable ~ this Safeway is such a disappointment.

My doctor was trying to find a pharmacy to fill a particular prescription, so they called it in to this store. There was quite a line for pharmacy pickup. There was an older man waiting who was complaining loudly that this is the slowest pharmacy place around. When it was my turn, they looked me up in the computer and said it was not ready, they needed reauthorization, yadda yadda. I told them it was called in 3 days ago and handed them a Smart Rx card. They asked me to step to the side & wait. So then they said they did not have the right size but would fill it with a larger tube of the cream. They told me to walk around and come back in 15 minutes, which I did. I was looking for a couple of food items but could not find either one. The store was freezing. I finally got checked out with my Rx. Then I stopped at the Safeway gas station out front--they had the slowest pumps I have encountered in years. Nope, never again.

I know now to always check the date before leaving here ESPECIALLY if it was on sale. The produce department is a coin toss at best. Today I went and they "ran" out of bags unless you bought their reusable bag. What a load of bull no way that was an "accident " The cashier was nice though.

We have been shopping at the Edgewater store since it opened. This past year it has gone downhill fast items are locked behind glass doors with no one around to open and not near other same type items. Simple item Tide Laundry Soap Boost etc then now want us to bring our own bags or buy Safeway bags. I see customers putting in their car one piece at a time. It does not have the good feel of food shopping. Don Morrissette

I like some of the people that work here but today there was just alot of trash and food on the floor in produce and the cereal isle.....the store is normally on there game just not today
