Great place to get your Mercedes BMW service. The customer service is great. The quality of the work is great if you live in that area and you have the type of cars they service visit them you will not be disappointed.

I contacted the service department to schedule an appointment for a diagnostic evaluation and repair of my vehicle. I also offered to bring the vehicle to their facility for onsite inspection at their convenience. The response I received from the Service Department was:
“I just anticipate other issues that would come up in addressing your main issue, and quite frankly I just don’t have the time.”
This response was unexpected, given that I was seeking professional assistance for a specific and urgent performance issue.
A very surprising and disappointing response. I’ve never heard a service provider decline a customer by stating they don’t have the time because additional issues might arise. That’s the nature of repair work.
This was poor customer service before I even became a customer.

I’ve taken my Jaguar F-Type convertible to these folks since I bought it a few years ago. She’s basically a “Garage Queen” that I baby like a child (as long as my wallet will allow) so I’m very particular (and honestly interested in how things operate on the car) so I have a habit of questioning everything when she’s worked on. Recently had a weird tire issue (large screw/spike inside rear, hitting rear end when driving). Long story, but tires had to sourced (can’t buy off the rack that I could find), car had to be towed, it was a real time consuming pain/mess for me. Gave them a call, explained my issue(s). They sourced the tires (had them in 2 days) for basically the same price if I had spent days hunting for them and had them shipped on my own. Due to my misunderstanding, I even missed the appt to have them put on. Despite being busy, they still took my car in and had me back on the road the next day. These guys rock. They always do good work, explain what’s going on, and always answer my never ending, sometimes relentless questions with a smile, incredible patience, and not a hint of “please just get out of my face” :). A big thank you to Ray and the entire SS team for helping me out again and if you want great service on a vehicle they work on, these are the guys.

I have a 1967 Mercedes 250 SL that kept stalling at lights only after driving for some time. When I called Mercedes to schedule an appointment They said they no longer service that model/year (pretty disappointing), but did recommend Silver Star. I took it to Silver Star but was afraid they wouldn't be able to duplicate the problem because it only stalled/wouldn't start until cooled after it had been running for a long time at high speeds. I was able to explain my symptoms to the service team and through a number of test drives and calls to me to let me know what they were experiencing to see if I concurred (talk about customer service), they were were able to duplicate the problem and fix it plus another coil ignition problem that added another dimension to the cars acceleration and top-end speed. I can now drive the car without fear of stalling at the light - not a pleasant experience.
I can't thank the Silver Star team enough for their professionalism and customer service and courtesy. They go the extra mile and then some. They have my highest recommendation for your service need.

I've taking both my mercedes here for service in the past with no problems. On 9/9/24 i called to setup an appointment for 9/12/24. On 9/12/24 i was informed by Ray the service advisor that the headlight bulb didn't work and that they needed to diagnosis my 2014 cla250. Ray informed me the rate for this was $170/hr, i told him it must be the ballast that's pretty much the only thing electrical part that'll make the headlight not come on. He then said well i don't know i have to see what my mechanic says. So on 9/13/24 Ray called back and said in fact it was the ballast and claimed that basically all the wires were corroded and that i will need to buy a whole headlight assembly $2,660.00. After agreeing at first because i thought since i did business with them before they wouldn't do me dirty, Ray said the parts should arrive between Tuesday or Wednesday i said cool. I spoke with some other mechanics and they told me what the issue was and that silver star wasn't being truthful. On 9/16/24 i called Silver star back and told Ray i couldn't move forward, he said i think one of the parts are already here i need to see if there is any charges on my end. That's when he called back and said i owe him $436... $161 for restocking fee and the rest is labor. I ask to show me invoice for the parts because you said the parts wasn't coming until Tuesday or Wednesday it was only Monday... He wouldn't show me. On Friday 9/20/24 i called back and told them my headlight dust cover was missing and Ray said his mechanic said it was already missing so i spent $124 at Mercedes today. I will never support this business ever again. My grandfather use to deal with these folks since Benson motors and when they had the service center on West st. I'm also reaching out to BBB. Oh all i had to replace was the ballast and new headlight bulb.

I ABSOLUTELY understand how they have almost five stars. I brought in a 1990 350SDL with a turbo that wasn't building boost. I was told $250ish for diagnosis and that's perfectly fair... People should be paid for their expertise.
Turned out to basically be what I thought it was, waste gate was stuck open and an easy fix.
What I didn't realize was that that diagnosis fee also included a thorough inspection of my old Benz. And I now have a list of all the things that need my attention over the next few months.

Silver Star is attentive and thorough. We found them when others couldn't figure out how to fix AC in our mercedes. I wish they would work on my FORD FLEX!
