I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to wait the hour to 2 hours I previously typically waited past my appointment time at another clinic. Here I was promptly seen right on time. The facility is clean, spacious and pleasant. The office staff was courteous and helpful. The doctor was very knowledgeable and reassuring. She called me the next day with test results. “I love Hoffman Animal Hospital. I drive 40 minutes to take my puppy to Dr. Muller, and it’s worth it. My boy loves seeing her, he even sits and waits in front of the door for her to come in. He always has a good experience there, he loves to say hi to everyone who works there when we go in, and Dr. Muller is so quick with the injections that he doesn’t even really notice.”

“Dr. Chaney did more than wonderful job with Stormy's spay. The closure of the incision was so well done if not for the area being shaved I would have never found it. Stormy had no down time after returning home and she did not require the use of a cone or surgical garment. Dr. Reed is also more than wonderful for Stormy and Stilly's non-surgical visits. He was gentle, understanding, and informative with their exams, shots, and even did the nail trims himself. I have never felt rushed by either of these veterinarians or that my opinions and concerns do not matter because they take the time to listen to their patient's caregivers. Please note this is a smaller practice and although they go above and beyond to be accommodating if you are not proactive in scheduling appointments ahead of time this may not be the best choice.”

“Unfortunately, I had to use Dr. Volker's services again.....my two orientals (a breed that has notoriously bad teeth!) needed ALL their teeth removed!!! They aren't even four years old, and I was so worried about this - it's a long surgery, and cats' jaws can be fragile, esp. when removing the canines (and Oriental cats have even smaller jaws to begin with!!). I work in Vet Med myself, but I knew that if that was ever necessary, I would have Dr. Volker at the Animal Dental Center do it. And I am SO glad I did - we're almost two weeks out, and my two cats have recovered to the point that they seem like nothing ever happened to them!! I just want to tell pet owners that cats and dogs can very easily live without teeth (esp. cats), and I wasn't worried about that - but it's a complicated, long surgery, and the doctors at the Animal Dental Center as SO much more trained and equipped to do this than a regular vet (just like you wouldn't have teeth extracted at your primary care physician, right?). So, if your pets have to have teeth extracted and it is within our financial means, please take them to the specialist - the best one in our area is the Animal Dental Center, for sure! I'm sure all the doctors are great, I just particularly like Dr. Volker <3Not sure why half of the reviews on here seem to be for a completely different vet clinic - mine is for the actual Animal Dental Center and specifically for Dr. Volker! I can't say enough good things about her, I've seen her with three of my (oriental/siamese) cats and she is truly outstanding. Very caring, kind, and competent!! I work at a regular vet office and we refer clients to the ADC a lot (because let's be honest, you wouldn't go to your primary care physician for a dental issue, would you?). I'm only ever hearing positive feedback, this is an overall really great facility!”

“I took my Bishon to Dr. Harker for years and years. She took such wonderful care of my baby, nursing her through good health then, sadly, bad. Dr. Harker is compassionate, kind, and knows her business. She is open minded, which is a quality I really admire. The staff are conistently kind, helpful and terrific. I now take my new puppy to them, and have since she was 8 weeks old. I would never go anywhere else. They are simply the very best. Not inexpensive; but nothing is these days. That aside, they will be there for you, always.”

“Dr. Sims is the most thorough Vet my husband and I have encountered in our 44 yrs of marriage. We have had 4 dogs, and at least 5-6 different Vets during the past four decades. Dr. Sims style and approach in understanding all the possibilities of what is occurring and what may be unfolding "down the road" with our 3.5 yr Goldendoodle is second to none. It is as if she has a set of binoculars around her neck. She has coached us through his IBD. We now have "toppings" that she recommended to add to his prescription food. That has brought incredible peace of mind to us, since our Doodle is a VERY PICKY eater and often would go on a food strike. Sadly, he was recently diagnosed with a mast cell cancerous tumor. She referred us to two different oncologists. Fortunately, it is a low grade and Dr. Sims is by our side helping us on this journey. Trust Dr. Sims. In our opinion, you will not be disappointed.”

“I can't say enough good things about my experience with Severna Park Veterinary Hospital. I called them for the first time after being told by ten (yes, ten) other vets/ER vets including our normal vet of 7 years, that they wouldnt be able to see our pup who hadn't eaten in nearly 3 days and was having other very concerning symptoms. I left a voicemail with my name, information and had little hope that I'd receive a call back at all. Lo and behold, less than an hour later the office called me back and encouraged me to come in, they'd squeeze me in between appointments. I was so grateful that my pupper would be seen! We hurried over and he was taken back, assessed and the vet (Dr. Schmidt) came out to explain his initial thoughts, treatment plan and anticipated costs before proceeding. I was prepared to simply be handed a bill after the visit, so I thought the fact that he provided a detailed estimate was really fantastic. I agreed to all (and was fully expecting to be asked to pay much more than the quote). The front desk staff (Diana, sp?), the vet techs, everyone was as kind and helpful as can be to us. I wish I remembered everyone's name for appropriate kudos. What started as a stressful and scary day ultimately turned into such a wonderful reminder that there are still people, and businesses, who truly will go out of their way for a stranger (or strange dog, ha!). Our pup is feeling MUCH better now all thanks to the team at Severna Park Veterinary Hospital. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“Very small office and when we went they only had one room available. They had coloring sheets for the kids which was very nice. Our cat was sick and we got a same day appointment when no other vets could fit us in. We ended up waiting about 1.5-2 hours to be seen and when we were the vet and assistant were both very kind and compassionate. They went over all our options to help our cat and were understanding when we could only spend a certain amount. I asked her if you only had this amount,what services would you recommend and we went from there.”
