“2026 Update:
As my now 13-year-old Goldendoodle, Summer, faces what is likely the final chapter of her life, Missy Donley has been an absolute lifeline. She has patiently fielded countless phone calls, emails, and questions, found ways to get us in when we needed help, coordinated medications and supplies, and somehow always makes me feel like Summer is her priority. Caring for a senior dog with complex medical issues can be overwhelming, and Missy's kindness, responsiveness, and genuine compassion have made an incredibly difficult journey so much easier.

I also want to recognize Dr. Erin Brown. Every pet owner hopes to find a veterinarian who treats their animal as if it were their own. Dr. Brown is that person. She has guided us through difficult decisions with honesty, compassion, and respect for what matters most to our family—keeping Summer comfortable and enjoying the time she has left. At no point have I felt pressured into pursuing tests or procedures that didn't align with Summer's quality of life. Instead, she has partnered with us to create a thoughtful comfort-care plan, and I know she will continue to be there for us, whatever lies ahead.

The entire Hoffman team has been incredible. Every interaction—whether in person, on the phone, or through email—has been met with kindness, compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern for Summer's well-being. It's clear that everyone works together with one shared goal: providing exceptional care for both pets and the people who love them.

2025 Review:
I’ve been bringing my Goldendoodle to Hoffman since she was 12 weeks old—she’s now 12 years. Last year, Dr. Muller noticed something concerning in my dog’s blood work and recommended a sonogram, given the breed’s predispositions. That scan revealed masses on her liver and spleen, which were biopsied: one showed normal aging changes and the other was inconclusive, so we opted to monitor her closely.

A few weekends ago, my dog developed a sudden gastrointestinal upset. I took her to Hoffman on Monday morning, and once again Dr. Muller sprang into action—she discovered that the liver mass was bleeding. Under her guidance, I rushed my dog to Dogs & Cats in Bowie (another outstanding facility), where the bleeding was confirmed and surgery was performed the next day.

In short, Dr. Muller’s expertise and swift action quite literally saved my dog’s life. This is precisely the kind of veterinarian you want in your corner—someone who sees issues early and moves decisively, giving you options when they matter most. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Muller and the entire Hoffman team for their exceptional care, compassion, and skill.”

“Love the staff. They are very kind and prompt, knowledgable and caring. We’ve done the rounds with vets in the area and are happy with this team.
BUT, deep down you can tell it pains them to charge us so much.
The prices just keep rising and rising and don’t give me the tariffs and supply chain bull, it’s reads as simple greed. I understand inflation, but this price gouging started before the economy went into a free fall.
I got the insurance, thinking it would help, but that just led to Banfield calling my dog into the office every 2-4 weeks. As a human, I only go to the doctor every 6-12 months, and I’m 5x older than my animal.
It’s feeling like exploitation and preying on the love for my animal, to increase the company’s financial gain, not for the health of my companion.”
