Always a lovely experience reading, shopping, and enjoying coffee here. If I am looking for something specific, they generally don’t have it but order it for me an let me know quickly when it’s arrived. I enjoy the mix of new and used books, and the charming kids section.

Wyrd is a friendly independent bookstore in Edgewater that is great to settle in and spend some time.

Wyrd is pure magic! A wonderful community bookstore, where you can have a cup of coffee or tea, buy & order books, join a book club (or a writing group, or a crocheting party), and attend author meets & book signings (& many more!). The staff are always friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Colorful kids' section, music evenings, story time, Halloween parties--Wyrd has it all!

A really quality space for book lovers. The layout is cozy and welcoming, as it the decor and coffee bar. There are many books to peruse, plus a kid's section. There are gifts for book lovers and some local crafts available to purchase. There is a gift wrapping table for making your gift ready to present. The manager is very courteous and friendly, and the coffee is roasted in MD. There were sandwiches and pastries and a selection of cold drinks available. If I were to open a bookshop-cafe, I would want it to be exactly like Wyrd Bookstore. 'Wyrd' as in the old English word meaning fate, destiny, event, or condition, and pronounced as 'word' or 'weird' according to the internet.

This is my favorite bookstore! I only buy books from small independent bookstores and this one is amazing. It has a beautiful ambiance and atmosphere and amazing book selection. They can order a book for you if they don't have it. Their barista is awesome, get the decaf latte! My favorite thing about this bookstore is how they bring the community together with bookclubs, author signings, music nights, and more. Edgewater needed a place for community badly. I am in a bookclub with Wyrd and have met some really awesome people that I never would have met. I can't recommend this bookstore enough! Support local independent bookstores instead of Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

We love Wyrd! I’m part of a local book club and Wyrd makes it to easy to order books for us. It’s wonderful to have such a cozy, welcoming spot to peruse shelves, grab some coffee, and hang out. I continue to come to Wyrd for all of my literary needs!

You walk in and the smell of books hits you in the best way. This is my favorite little bookstore around. They have basically any book you could want. My son loves the kids section. The community is amazing. And the cafe? Delicious. The book clubs are so welcoming, the local author’s nights are so fun and full of fascinating people, and the vibe Amy created here is fantastic.
Go in, buy some books, get a yummy drink and thank me later.

This place is such a gem! They have a great collection of books, they take book donations, and the coffee is always an added bonus. They are so kind and friendly to those of us who bring our little kids in for their excellent children’s section.

Supporting a local bookstore is always satisfying, but this stop seems to host several organic book clubs as it serves as a third place for many in and around Annapolis and Edgewater. It offers many local and nationally acclaimed titles and has a brightly lit children's section, cafe with ample indoor and outdoor seating, and clean, caregiver friendly restrooms. They host author events regularly and have a community bulletin board with title recommendations.

Used and new books, Cafe tables, fresh coffee, great place to mingle and to read. They have book donation programs for the hospital, prison and kids in foster care. What a cute place!
