Wyrd was a cute little bookstore! We went on a Sunday and the three of us were excited to pick up some stuff on our lists we'd been hoping to read. Unfortunately, while they had 4 or 5 whole bookshelves for YA books, a whole corner for fiction, plenty of cook books, a kids section, and lots of classics, they only had a half book shelf for Scifi and Fantasy together, most of which was just Lord of the Rings sets hidden behind a chair. I know they can't have everything since space is so limited, mostly I want others to not go in and be surprised or disappointed. We ended up not getting any books at all and just enjoying drinks instead. There was a lot of seating to just hang out and relax which was really cool, even though we didn't get any books we liked hanging out. I got a rose tea drink which was good but VERY hot.It was a nice afternoon out browsing and enjoying tea, but I don't think we'll be back, there are just closer coffee shops and closer bookstores that carry stuff we're looking for.

I was really excited to find this bookstore, however upon entering, I was not greeted at all and mostly stared down. No one asked if I needed any help. I thought it was just a fluke and sometimes people have bad days but upon returning a second time I was met the same way.I really wanted to like this place because of the small coffee area, seating and good reviews. However it lacked the most important quality of all...customer service.

The atmosphere of this bookstore is lovely. There is a good selection of books. The reason for the 3 stars is that they charge more than the price listed on the back of the book without pricing structure on the shelves. I was charged $20 for a $17 book. I love supporting local small business and I will come back but sitting up a pricing structure would be awesome!

From the moment we walked in, this place went to the top of my coffee shop list. Everything in there is intentional and well thought out. The staff are always friendly and feel more like visiting family than being in a retail space. Every single one of them cares. The place is immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. The owner loves what she does and delights in every customer. It's exactly what we need in Edgewater.

This place is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a good book have coffee or tea with a friend and relax. The owner Amy is a wonderful friendly lady who lives for books and makes you feel like a friend of hers when you first meet. Stop in and enjoy her shop you won’t regret it.

This is almost the bookstore I've been seeking. Nice cozy atmosphere, so many books in such a well arranged small area. I love this place! Such a wide array of books, services, cozy nooks, tables, gift wrapping, well staffed, some used books, story hour, great music . . .

The most lovely little bookstore owned by the most wonderful people! The Cafe area is perfection (I'm already addicted to the London fog tea.) I love how they have old/used books and they do these amazing gift baskets filled with themed books and goodies i.e. Bachelorette, baby shower, bridal, animal etc. I've been in numerous times and never leave without something. Make sure you smell their candle!

Really nice and comforting staff, the person in charge of the counter makes a mean latte. Very Enjoyable and they have very popular books for cheap.

Had to go to the UPS store for work and couldn’t resist the Siren Song of this cool new bookstore. They have this cool thing called Blind Date with a Book. They have different books wrapped up with a little description of what is inside. Although I definitely don’t need another book I don’t have time to read, I just had to partake in the fun! If you love bookshops and happen to find yourself in Edgewater, MD hit up Wyrd! They also have a small little cafe with pastries, tea, and coffee. I highly recommend the Apple Hibiscus Tea.

A great addition to Edgewater! Coffee, snacks, books, space to work or read, and gifts ready for purchase! I love the creativity of the gift baskets, pre-bundled and ready to go for different occasions (baby shower, wedding shower, get well gift, etc!). A great space with welcoming and kind owners!!
