I was recommended to 1st Class by a friend. They were fairly priced and the team that moved me today were strong and efficient. I would use them again. Much better service by this team than other moving companies.

We had a terrible experience with this moving company and I strongly recommend avoiding them.
They charged us about $1,000 more than the agreed-upon quote, with no clear explanation for the extra charges. We also paid for a few days of storage, which was included in the original quote, yet they still added costs.
During the move, they broke my office desk, damaged a leg on my kids’ dresser, and crushed several boxes — including ones clearly marked “fragile.” Items were labeled for specific rooms (Room 1, 2, 3, etc.) but ended up in the wrong places, many dumped in the basement or office instead.
Despite the poor service, I still tipped $300 across three different teams (pickup and drop-off crews). Filing a damage claim was a nightmare — endless paperwork for a $400 claim, and in the end, they only paid around $170(and check comes in mail).
It’s not just about the money — the service was terrible, and they aren’t cheap. We had to buy a new desk and dresser ourselves. My realtor recommended them, but I regret taking that advice.
Bottom line: they are unprofessional, careless, and overpriced. There are much better movers out there — don’t make the same mistake I did.

We had a complicated move with 2 pick up spots and 2 drop off spots and some tight stairs! And they packed me first! Every single person on the team was amazing and everything went super smoothly. Pricing was very fair. All details were handled. We were very happy with the move!

Highly recommend 1st class moving and storage. Calvin came to our house for the estimate which I appreciated rather than a phone estimate. We moved from MD to PA and both the crews on each end were amazing. Highly efficient and fast. They were careful with our things and took apart and reassembled our furniture like pros. Would recommend them 100%

Horrible company, they came recommended from another person in my industry and this has been a gigantic disappointment.
They stole thousands of dollars of heirloom fine china and a new rug and they just wiped their hands clean and turned towards filing an insurance claim with the third party company.
They also put a hole in the drywall of the sold property, and scratched the floors of a million dollar property that they moved the furniture into.
These people are a carrier but they just GC the workers out in the new state, outside of Maryland, so random movers they find will be doing your move.
They are taking no accountability at all. Not a single word from them, the deal is already sold so they’ve moved on.
I’m in a business that deals with moving and I will make sure to never recommend this business. I had recommended this company to three clients and have already called them and warned them.
