They work fast...if they say come in now, they'll get to your car quickly. They don't go overboard re passing safety inspection...they're reasonable and will fail you for something that's clearly a problem, they won't try to fail you then bs you into trying to spend big $ trying to turn a 5-15 year old car into a new one and have you replacing stuff that's not really necessary.This is my second time using them and I already had NTB tell me what the car needed first...it failed on one of the things ntb mentioned...I looked and agreed that the parts they mentioned were shot. If you let them do the fix they'll work with you to pass.They aren't that expensive wrt repairs.Some places refuse to install customer parts. I wanted to save a buck getting better front end parts from Advance Auto (Moog) vs paying twice that for run of the mill aftermarket cheapies, and these guys didn't object to just charging labor to install my byo parts...I checked 3 places, plus a street mechanic and Central's price for labor-only was the best...that plus I got the pass all in one stop without wasting additional time or gas.Honestly I'd probably do the title/ tag elsewhere or go to MVA to save a buck. If you have more $ than time, you can pass inspection and also get tag and title here...but you'll pay an extra $50 convenience fee for your title/tags. No extra fee for that if you go to the MVA.

This is by far one of the worst mechanic shops in Maryland. They will scam you out of your money if you let them. They had my vehicle for over a month. Constantly telling me it wasn't ready until I threatened to contact my attorney and file a lawsuit. Then I received a call from them the next day to pick up my vehicle. All of a sudden it's ready, go figure. They removed my vehicle from their shop telling me it was at another location without notifying me. They told me my vehicle would be ready in another two weeks. Until I mentioned a lawyer. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.Service: Engine repair

Had state inspection completed in good time, had tint removed as well. Convenient as I was able to get my registration done as well at the same place. Prices are fair didn't feel pressured, and they squeezed me in when other couldn’t.Services: Vehicle Inspection

These guys are just terrible. Went to get my car inspected, "mechanic" made up a story about how my rear rims had to be the same size as my front rims or it would fail (just craziness). He reached out to his "trooper buddy" who told him that was false. Then he still failed my car for a loose wheel bearing. Paid 85 bucks for that. Retuned within 30 days only for him to tell me they won't reinspect it because it's about the 1000 mile threshold by 25 miles. So instead of a 35 dollar re-inspection fee, they wanted to charge me 105.00, the new price for a full inspection. These guys are a joke. Not willing to help, willing to steal your money in a heartbeat. Don't go here, just trash....

First time at Central Auto shop . From the time I dropped off the car to the time I picked it up, it was extremely professional and transparent. My car steering was shaking violently and there was a knocking sound coming from my engine. I received an electronic estimate of the desired repairs that would be needed along with a phone call describing the reasons why. The prices were extremely reasonable and the work was completed within really quick time. Thanks a central auto Shop for my Repair!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

These folks knows what they are doing .I just purchased a used car and needed Maryland state inspection .I took my car to the shop.They did diagnosed couple of thing . I let them to replaced the parts and car passed. I I have a good and professional experience with Central auto shop. Must try incase you needed maintenance.Services: Brakes

I wanted to speak with someone to have my vehicle inspected but when I got there no one would speak with me. I began walking towards someone who looked available but then he looked at me and walks away. Everyone else there didn't say a word. They just looked. So I left after getting bad vibes. I will never visit this location. I do recommend Acceleration Automotive. It's down the road and they are nice and professional.The owner does respond in a rude manner to amyone who gives the business low ratings instead of improving his service. No point in spending your money at this establishment.
