While I rented the space here. The building manager Ryan was very kind and forthcoming with the growing rates over my stay. Service was fast and the building was maintained constantly. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for some temporary space.

We were long term customer, opened our storage unit pretty much after the facility opened. We started with a smaller unit (5x10) and moved up to a larger 10x10 unit a year later. We started out at $95/month. Every year Extra Space raised the fee around $5. We were solid customers, on autopay, they never heard from us. We were happy. This September we received a notification that the fee was going up almost $40, resulting in the monthly cost being close to $180/month. After reaching out and asking why, I was told it was the cost of business. We ended up moving all of our contents to another facility close by for half of the cost. Today, after getting a confirmation text from the local office about our move out, I get the “sorry to see you go” message. I also find out that corporate controls fee increases and the local office is completely out of touch of what corporate is doing to their local customers. Very disappointing. They lost very good customers for no reasons. Maybe pay more attention!
The facility itself is nice, units big, clean and still fairly new. The parking lot is very tight and depending on when you are there, can be hard to find a spot. The doors to get in/out to the building are super annoying and unable to be propped open, which is a hassle when moving lots of stuff in/out. It can be dark and scary to be in there by yourself. The elevators have broken down, so you’re dealing with 1 vs. 2, just an annoyance.

Ryan at the Elkridge, MD office on 6300 Washington Blvd. was the Epitome of EXCELLENT Customer Service! He represented Extra Space Storage WELL! . . . It's Management like Ryan that makes renting a Self-Storage unit a JOY! He Understood my need and located another property that was actually closer to where we live, but had a better Market rate for the Same Size Unit! . . . Ryan SHOWED Care and Concern for the Everyday Customer! His facility was Spotless, Smelt Good and was In Order. It has been a Wonderful Experience ? . . . We Wish Him and His Family ALL the Best and GREAT SUCCESS in This Business! He has what a lot of people are Lacking in Business . . . He GENUINELY CARES! . . . The Pleasure was ALL Mine!

My experience was fantastic Nikki was very professional, certious and had a smile that lit up the room he was very nice he explained everything clearly I got the 10×10 storage unit he showed it to us and it was so clean the facility was clean so keep doing what you're doing it's going to be a pleasure to use Extra Space Storage.

My father suddenly passed away on OCT 18th. Ryan from extra storage in Elkridge MD was friendly, amazing, understanding, and informative. I had helped my dad with his items in the storage unit over the last year while he was alive. The storage facility was always clean and well lit. And easy to get to. But secure with pins and lock. If I had a need for it. I would continue to use them. Highly recommended!!!

Staff very helpful & polite. Worked with Ryan multiple times & he was great. Facility clean & functional. Only challenge is continued increased pricing. Moving in & out was smooth.
